I was talking to one of my co-workers, apparently leaving the paint in that kind of condition, with the almost moss-like patina, is desirable now.

It's supposedly called the "rode hard and put away wet" look. I still don't get it... Lol

The patina look is more about the barn find look of it.

Also, in my opinion the patina look fails on that, since the wood doesn't look aged.

What are you talking about? He said its on a chassis of a 96 Bronco. No mention of a Bronco II. Also do you know what a front clip is?

What he said and what it is are two different things. Yes I am very aware of what a front clip is.......

Apparently you don't. You said he used the front clip of a Bronco II. A front clip is the front fenders, hood, bumper cover, rad support, inner fenders, etc. That sure looks like a 53 Pontiac front clip to me.
