Not if you install them right. I know several people that have had the stick on ones and never had a problem with them coming off. Hell, my mom had them on her Caliber, and had a rock break a section of the front passenger side one off, but the rest of it remained on the car for years afterward until she traded it in.

As awesome as it is he won't get anywhere near 14k for it.
