hmm, this is interesting...a boost controller for a roots blower.
link fail
That looks like the controller on a Devil's Own meth kit...
...and it is stupid.
^^Agreed.
Just tune for the right pulley size or have a MPS system. Problem solved.
Sounds like a waste of money to me on a roots blown car.
I'll keep the current boost controller I have, my right foot...
its also for people who u let borrow the car. extra added security even after a promise.
(i wont speed) :0)
Take off the supercharger belt and hide it if you're that concerned...
i think it looks pretty cool actually, but i keep wondering how exactly it works because the BBV is either open or closed and can only limit boost to 4-5 psi when its activated.
It uses pwm, therefore it can vary between full open and closed. I brought this up a while ago and you guys laughed, but now that zzp offers it its the best thing since sliced bread... oh well.
Dude im going to school to become a professional technician and i have a very vast knowledge of car related stuff as it is. It is not "stupid **** you will never use in real life", hell what do you think 90% of the actuators on new cars are controlled? PWM. Hell, how do you think we control injectors?
They are going to pwm for many reasons, one for which it saves electricity making the electrical circuit more efficient. Also, you can do alot of cool stuff with pwm.
i completely agree with you. i just dont see myself doing any PWM work for a personal project at home, haha.
i think it would be nice because i would have tossed a 3.0 pulley on my car and just ran as much boost as i could until it knocked. that is the only reason i see this as useful as well as being able to turn it down when youre driving around normally. i can say driving in the snow with a smaller pulley on is a *****.
