he told me he did not do the swap....

Not exactly, the car is a gt so its the gt trans with a gtp engine in it. Actually the gt trans has better gearing and makes the car faster than a gtp one. 3.29 vs 2.93 axle ratios. Plust being the gt, the speedo and abs and other stuff is calibrated for the 3.29 gears, so it made sense to leave the gt trans with the swap. I did not do the swap, but the only difference between hd and non hd trans is the differential on the pass side of the trans. Its a little bit beefier. But I have seen stock gt tranny hold up behind gtp motors all the time. I actually am gonna do that my self with my twin charged turbo and supercharged 98 pace car grand prix. I am just gonna upgrade the differential. Other than that, the guts of the trannys are all the same.

kinda sounds like bio's old setup and dude is trying to make some money off of it.

I did pay 1g for it with a junk motor and trans. Nick had them pretty much used up. The trans was slipping and making a horrific noise and the engine had the start of bearing troubles with oil psi issues and light knock. She was beaten pretty hard over the last few years, so that doesn't help. Even a 3800 as tough as they are, can only take so much punishment. I found a different combo from two guys on cl and used some of Nicks old parts and made it nice again. No headers on it anymore and no roller rockers. They were in poor shape and were sold off. I demodded it a bit, to make it mild and streetable. It was pretty ratty when I got it also. Very neglected. But its getting there now. I would take $2200 for it as is now. Has the different drivetrain swapped and all it needs are rear strut mounts and a windshield to be real nice again. I got some stock struts I may swap in there to make it stock height again. It seems the people interested
are not too fond of the lowered car. Plus it has the typical low speed driveline vibration from being lowered without doing the necessary upgrades to stop it, so thats scaring potential buyers away right now. I have some low mileage struts that can go with car if you are interested in it. I always figured I can sell the kyb struts and the eibach springs on the internet to recoop some cash on them. Plus the car rides like **** in my opinion with it lowered. Looks cool, but very stuff and bouncy ride.
If interested let me know. I have right around the 2200 in it now, so I would just like to cash out of this thing and go on to something else.

neglected because i didnt care for it anymore. if i would have washed and waxed it and tooks care of the suspension and exhaust tips the car would have been awesome again. who needs a good windshield anyway?

it also doesnt vibrate really, i have shorter dogbones on it. it was WAY worse before i did that.

well he told you he swaped it, but told me nothing of a swap. from the way he put it to me, it was the stock trans.

choose to belive it if you wish, i dont.

I really can care less either way, not interested in the car.

Just wanted to see what he had to say about it.
