Put back on a resonator and that should fix it if it has stock mufflers.

My black GTP has a 3" DP w/ no cat and a stock catback.... sound/noise wise you I cannot tell a difference between that car and my dads bone stock GP GT.

X 4 or put in a glass pack in the place of the resonator

thanks for the advice, now if muffler shop still has my resonator, if not i'll get a glass pack. trying to do things right, have cold air setup, 605 plugs, 3.4 pully and 3800 per ecm still in the trunk. this is a very info wise forum.

Yep, just put the resonator back on and you'll be fine.
You should check out the safely modding your 3800 thread in the general tech section, lots of good info there.

Nice, that's awesome. You seem pretty cool too, we've only had one other guy your age come on here and he was a complete asshole who did nothing but call us all idiots.

well thank you, i worked on grandsons ford truck, put in racing cam etc, its a 460, i can relate with the younger gen, hel; i was the same way when i was young. always trying something to go faster, some worked some didnt. didnt have puters and such then. that extra tenth , time or mph is hard to get. ricers crack me up saying things like hey old man i got a x7jgt racing cam gives me 100 hp. their torque is gone and they rev about 4 grand to get out of their driveway, its really funny. course some are sorta fast, i cant tell them apart like the old days.

your not idiots, we are all learning everyday, i'll never stop learning, i know a gtp like mine just doesnt have enough inchs, i;ll figure out a swap for it to more cubes and i;ll let you all know. experience 455 buick in 55 chev, 428 poncho eng into 69 firebird, 460 ford into camaro, 331 old into 41 ford coupe. and some other dumb things i;v done. it sure was fun. computer problems will be my problem. maybe i can learn.

Nice, you've had some fun cars for sure.
There's plenty of people on here that can help, the PCM tuning does get complicated. You can either take the time to learn it, or have someone custom tune it for you. And there's always places like overkill and intense that you can just buy a mail-order tune from.
