Wow guys... there already isn't any space under the hood.
also, guy above me here.... THATS WHAT THE LAST GEN GP WAS!@#
If you want a QUALITY CAR.... thats RWD... with a V8... buy a G8...
stop b!tching about **** you ALREADY KNEW when you bought the damned thing.
and the guy who thinks stock 3800 exhaust sounds bad... LOL thats THE best sounding exhaust for these cars...
I guess I'm just lucky. Got a 2000 Regal with 126,000 miles. Not a single creak in the interior (although it is a bit cheap as well), no leaking rack as i've seen mentioned, no comlaints about the handling (however I have GMPP front and rear sway bars), both heated seats have never failed and they get alot of use, i have had to replace the wheel bearings twice this year alone (mostly the fact that snow plows destroyed most of the roads around here last winter and it they were never repaved). I guess the grand prixs just didnt get as much attention on the assembly line lol.
Things that bother me about this car are the premature failure of lights on the instrument/control panel, The lights for the seat heater controls, A/C, radio display, the shifter lights in the center console, The car is only four years old, I see a lot of people have had similar problems, expenses have been only maintenance, Oil changes, Transmission fluid/filters, plugs/wires, brakes, oh and the battery died in the heat of the 100' summer here in NC. But other than that it has been a great car, no other complaints,
LOL unless you're pro you will NOT want to build these and sell them... that or you'll end up wanting $500+ a set.
Oh its worth it for yourself but to make them will be quite another thing.
Off road dude,,, Had that same rattle right above my guages. When your driving and it's rattling take a credit card and slide it up into the seam between the upper and lower pieces of the dash where they overlap, see if it goes away, mine did immediately, if it does goes away then take an old credit card and cut a strip a 1/4" or so off the short end and slide it up in there, worked for me, now if I could just get some time to work on the lighting issue.
yeah I was debating of sticking a piece of cardboard in there but just too lazy I guess...haha
Got the 94. 3.4 GTP.
Power steering is a POS. Reservoir O-ring had to be doubled up to stop leaks, the PS is noisy and not very powerful. Not like "stiff" but just sluggish.
The interior set-up sucks, the cupholders are under the climate control and the ash tray is akwardly placed.
The center console breaks if you even lok at it wrong (I rigged the thing with wood screws finally)
Everything under the hood is HELL to work on. Gyod, even to replace the battery you have to remove the washer reservoir and that bar.
All that I can live with, but the PS is annoying.
