Basically your motor is a huge air pump. The air intake, headers or Downpipe/Plog all help air flow either into or out of your motor. This makes your motor more efficient and allows more air in and out which means more power.

Where in Mass are you located? Some people learn from reading, some from pictures and some from doing/experiencing.
I'm in Enfield. There's always some project or work to be done in the garaage with performance parts/stock parts laying around to look at and better understand how/why mods are done. If you are looking for some real life, parts in hand knowledge and learning, let me know. I'll show you the mods and the reasons why we do them.
This weekend is Headers
During the week will be transmission reassembly, mating to engine and engine/trans install
Soon after transmission swapping.
Then another trans swap.
A trans go through and check up. Then swap
Sway bar swap out.
You name it. There is literally always something happening. If you want to learn mods, learn how to work on the car or just hang out, the offer is pretty much wide open to folks all the time.
Thanks Bill, that's a tempting offer but unfortunately I'm not in Mass anymore. I bought my 97 GP in Mass and drove it cross country to Vegas which is where I'm at now. Maybe next time I'm in MA I'll take you up on that offer.![]()
