Gov't run health care is an answer to a problem that doesnt exist. Why should the 85% of Americans who have healthcare pay for the 15% who don't?

You will bankrupt tens of thousands of companies in this country who hire part-time employees that don't have to pay that bill now and are just barely getting by?! A lot of companies also will probably just pay the fine which is only $3900 instead of paying for insurance so what is that going to fix?

Even McDonald's will feel the ramifications of this. And they will not just sit there and lose profits to it.... they will just the bill on to you by raising prices of their food. You can kiss the dollar menu goodbye folks!! Or worse yet, they will have less people working in already understaffed restaurants. I already wait too long for my food as it is!!!

I am 24. To be honest, at this point in my life I go in and get my regular check-ups on my insurance paid my workplace. But I assure you my work pays a lot more in premiums than what my appointments actually cost. I would not have insurance right now if I had to pay for it myself. It is ridiculous that people should have to pay for something they actually might not want or cannot afford to be mandated to pay!! An example: My wife and I got married back in June. She was on my insurance for a month and a half and went to two appointments. It cost me $277 out of my check, and it cost my work over $2000!!! FOR A MONTH AND A HALF!!! And we actually get a decent rate MedMutual of OH.

Once again, gov't run healthcare is not the answer. There are two things that need to happen:
1.) Healthcare costs need to reduced. Period.
2.) Health Insurance companies need to be allowed to work across state lines to offer better competition to help lower costs.

There, I said my piece.

P.S. Joe Wilson was right about the president. He did lie about healthcare for illeagals. Find a copy of the bill dated before his speech to Congress.
