put a chevy in it.
Turbo
no wait slap a m90 on it lmao
get some nitrous then if the motor blows just build it then.
its got a 4 banger right?? ive never even heard or seen a 85 86 duster.... its a crappy version of a stang or capri lol id say sell it get a 86 stang gt =] lol
2.2 TURBO 5 speed, the turbo 2 of course, not that crappy older turbo 1
I used to have a 90 dodge daytona, converted it to turbo 5 speed, brought to shelby spec on everything, suspension, etc. I had a volvo FMIC in there, the garret t3 turbo and 12 psi of boost. That thing hauled, and it wasnt even trying. I kinda want to get another one as you dont have to deal with the bs like these cars, like tuning, and trans problems, etc. They are so simple and so cheap to make fast.
i take back my statement i didnt know it had a turbo lol and yeah shelbys are cool
Yeah hes thinking about doing the 2.2 swap. But isnt there anything else? Like would the custom fwis we make for these cars work?
Being an 86 does it have the carb or tbi? If it has the tbi, dont waste your time. The whole 100 hp is all you get with that motor.
wat mini said......
No theres videos of youtube of his car running 12s
Why ask about mods for the car here, if it is already running 12's?
Not trying to be an asss, but Google is your friend...
If the Duster forums, or that engine/platform forums, do not already suggest things have him do these:
Get a larger turbo.
Add NOS.
Polish and port the intake.
Add, or make a cold air kit.
Cam.
Bigger injector(s).
Custom exhaust.
Take out some weight i.e. interior, spare tire, lighter battery, lighter rims, and so on...
