i drive the si's on a regualar basis cuz i work at a honda dealership..nd my parents owned one for a lil while...that six speed it sweet super smooth nd easier do drive....its not the car that makes it a rice its the drive nd the stupid mods he puts on it...the ss would be sweet too but the quality of the honda is far better...actually i really like the look of them...sure the subie is awd but that 2.5i is slow u would get bored quick...drive the si u cant help but smile when u hit about 5800 rpm nd the vtec system kicks in....i am usually pro american but i cant deny that they are built really well

Time to agree and disagree...those higher compression 2.5 boxer motors aren't something to laugh at IMO, they might not be as fast as a WRX or STi, but are still plenty quick enough to keep up with a Si or SS. And waiting for 5800? How many times do you pass even close to 4 grand daily driving? I sure don't get much more than 3K. The problem with the Civic is it makes no...and I mean NO torque, until you rev the crap out of it, which makes for a piss poor daily driver IMO. Without VTEC that thing is lucky to put down 100 ft.lbs. of torque...and build quality...sure...but not good enough to compete with a Scooby...plus the dash is putrid and looks like a 5 year old on crack designed it.

I'd give you the "welcome to the family" hug, but it'll have to be an e-hug. If you actually go through with it.

yea i get what ur sayin but idk my buddy has a legacy with the 2.5i nd i know the legacy it bigger nd heavier but it still just dosent have much...i dont think it would keep up with an Si or Ss..not for long atleast..nd yea granted during everyday driving ur not gunna be revving close to six grand but when u need it that car revs fast u kinda just gotta drive one then it makes a little more sense imo...nd i like the interior of the Si but again that is just my opinion

It's okay to not understand. Once you've driven one and realize how much a stock Subaru can walk around even the best handling w-bodies, then it becomes clear. Not to mention a much better modding platform and a mod friendly 7 year bumper to bumper warranty.

Well, not all that applies to Bio's, but he definitely made a good decision.
