Not the Honda for snow driving. Poor winter handling. Why even looking at a Cobalt? It'll be dead in 2 years.
No choice here, except for the extra grand it costs. Subu. hands down. AWD, better build quality, and maybe you can just, well... look farther south. AWD sells for less out of Wisc. See below... BTW that Impreza was in an accident...
2006 Blue WRX 47k mi Asking $14940 in Des Moines.....
depending upon what the accident was (says it was a minor damage accident) i may walk away. if it was just a busted bumper or something then i dont care so long as it looks nice still.
I vote for the Impreza for obvious reasons. The boxer is an awesome engine, no vibration, and incredibly reliable. AWD is great, but remember this. If you don't have decent snow tires all the AWD is good for is spinning four tires instead of just two. Snow tires or even decent all seasons are critical, even for AWD cars. The STI even has a driver controlled locking center diff, limited slip front, and torsen rear, and I wouldn't be confident on snow without at least all seasons.
The Honda, meh. I will never own a Honda.
The Cobalt SS is okay if it came with pimple cream for the boy ricer style. And it's still limited and crippled by being FWD and a delta platform car (aka J-body2).
id only be selling it for ~$1500 anyway since the transmission is having problems. i dont have the time or money to play with it anymore so if someone else wants to scoop it have the potential of fixing it for a cheap easy problem then be my guest. it would just be nice to not have to go through the hassle of selling it. i know something is wrong and people done like buying broken cars, its a fact.
Are u trading it in with the meth setup? lol
So...today? Or is it tomorrow yet Nick?
looks like EmEaston got to me before you. sorry.
i took out the impreza today. it was a nice car, drove well, shifted well, and was a nice overall ride. im not sure how i like the drive by wire throttle as it was very touchy. i found myself over revving it when i was taking off from a stop because of it. for the price it doesnt seem like a bad ride and with a little work im sure i could have a lot of fun with it too.
the cobalt ill go check out tomorrow morning and then decide from there.
my vote, if it matters, is Subie, then Cobalt. Never a civic. never, never a honda. with the exception of the NSX :P
