get all excited cause i found an awesome audi S4 and figure out that most car loan people dont offer loans for cars over 7 years old or so. Anyone have any options for me? How about a personal credit line? I can use that for whatever I want, right?

Anyone know anything about this? HELP ME!

How about a personal credit line?
Interest rate is usually up to 18%
How old is this car and how much? What's book value? A credit union is usually easier to deal with than a bank.

I used a credit union to get the best deal. Think all they asked was if it was new or used.

I got a loan for my 99 gp and i have a 4.5% interest rate through affinity.

you have to be out of your mind to put a car payment on a personal credit line...

the car i was looking at was a 2000 audi S4. sweet yellow color, never modded, 6 speed, little high mileage, but i wasnt too worried about it. that was until i read a write up on what you have to do to change the timing belt. you have to tear the whole front end off the car to get to the front of the motor. **** THAT.

im buying a $750 5 speed saturn from a friend of a friend. beaters FTW.

dude, audi's and v-dubs will always have a ses light, they are a ***** to work on and parts are expensive. A while back in high school we used to crack on my buddy, he had a v-dub jetta vr6 manual and he was on his 6th transmission in 4 months among other electrical related problems. We used to yell across the classroom in english class "BROOOOOAAHHHHH BROAH BROAH KRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRR KRRRRRRRR BLAH BR"...

it runs and drives as is right now, but i dont know how far it will make it before something takes a crap. im leaning towards that the only problem with the transmission is that the TC is done for. it shifts fine, but lockup seems to be intermittent and it has died on me a couple times coming to a stop which makes me thing the TC is staying locked and killing the car when i get slow enough.

the only other thing that this car would need is suspension. otherwise a little paint if you care about that.

i dont have roof rails anymore. they have been gone for a good while. things on the car that i could take off if i had the parts to replace them with:

    JP double roller timing chain
    1.9 modded rockers
    ported blower, LIM, and TB
    S&S headers
poly upper mounts (round and square, both intense)
gauges: volts, oil pressure, boost/vac, fuel pressure, and wideband AFR
    eibach springs

im not really thrilled about having to take the car apart at all, so im not sure that i even want to.

How much for the headers? Even though I don't need them if you sell them cheap I'll buy them

id need manifolds, crossover, and a downpipe. id rather just sell the headers with the car though, they are already on there and welded up all nice.

I got my 95 Monte in Jan of 2008 and sadly needed a loan to get it but the dealer ran my info and ONE bank gave me a loan First Internet Bank of Indiana at 9%. I ended up getting 6 rejection letters in the mail from all these banks saying the car was too old for a loan.
