i am a porter at a car dealership nd we got a black challanger srt8 automtice (dont know if they finally made the srt8 with a stick yet) with about 800 miles on the odo from auction...i am assuming it was a repo car or something but that is besides the point...needless to say i snatched the keys and went for a ride before my manager could stop my fun...i turned of the traction got it in auto stick then puched it...knowing it had 425 horsepower i was expecting some serious fun seeing is how i drive a stock gtp everyday...so i mash the throttle, get a lil wheel spin, run out to around 80, and i was not impressed. i mean it was fast now doubt...but it didnt make me go, wow, i need one. maybe it didnt seem so fast because it is so big...nd trust me in person u really understand how big it is. but i knew for sure the brakes would impress with brembos all around and slotted disks..again i was wrong...like before it stopped hard but nothin really crazy...not worth 40plus thousand dollars n e ways...my mom has 07 jetta gli nd that car will stop in a hurry...all i all was not impressed by the challenger...i think if it was stick that would of made a difference

lots of power + lots of weight= epic fail

    1. slow hard to get moving
    2. hard to stop moving(more weight means more inertia)

yea nd if the srt8 didnt impress me i bed the r/t would just feel like a dog...maybe the stick would make a difference...i mean i have driven a 6 liter gto w/ a six speed nd that left me with a huge grin and also when i drove an 05 sti...so its not like i am just being critical of the challenger

srt8 = lots of speakers (13 i think? wtf for??!!?!) and a crap load of stuff that doesnt need to be in a go fast car. if you need gps in a street car, you shouldnt be driving. they should have left all that uneeded "creature comfort" crap out and lightened it to 3300lbs, not 3800+ lbs. but they do look mighty fine!!

yea nd on top of the that sounds system isnt n e thing to write home about but i am used to my gtp which dosent have a peice of stock stereo in it...they should offer a totally stripped down challanger with the 6.1, stick, and let us decide what kind of stereo and eye candy to put on it.

yea it looks really sweet on paper and right before u drive it...then after u drive it nd realize that is a 40 plus thousand dollar car nothing about it makes me go "i gotta have it" other than for a collector car.
