start ripping her apart man!!!! wanna see my project car or i call it now my problem child?? look at my signature... lol
Hell yeah, my kinda car! B-Bodies and E-bodies are where I started! I help build a 72 Road Runner w/ 400 BB. Nice car, decently fast car, always street raced with it. I also remember helping my buddy put together a 73 Charger to sell, it was only a 318 car though.
All I can say, Year One and Paddock will be you're friends when restoring. First thing is first. Pull out all the interior, check the floor boards, trunk floor, quarter panels, trunk extentions for rust. Judging by the pics, you have a little already in the quarters, hopefully its nothing major. Luckily that car DOESN'T have a vinyl top, those can get real nasty underneith. Helped my buddy once pull off one off a 71 Charger... lets just say it looked like swiss cheeze! Trust me, it was bad, The roof was literally sooo weak without that top being there, it eventully caved in. It was a lost cause anyway and only used for parts. A complete rust bucket.....
god damn i would trade my GTP for that charger in a heartbeat i love those rides are sick but they do take a bit of cash to be made sick =] lol
Nice. I had a 74 charger several years back. Not in great shape but was cool. I stripped off the vinyl top, reupholstered the seats, gave it a cheapy black paint job and rebuilt the bulit proof 318. Was my first old car project. I loved it. Got that 318 runnin pretty good. I hope u have fun bro. Paddock is a great place for parts by the way
Yeah, those 318s are definatly built proof. My parents have a 73 'Cuda w/ a 318 2barrel. It has over 400,000 miles on it, the heads have never been pulled! Still runs and drives and is driven damn near daily too....
