    just wondering some opinions on the 3.9 vs 3.8
    1.0 pcm upgrade, comp cam, zex 50 shot, msd 8.5mm wires, copper plugs side gap, head work comp springs, all fluids mobile one

    well i was just reading power ratings i see gm is going with this motor alot will there be mods for this motor
    1.0 pcm upgrade, comp cam, zex 50 shot, msd 8.5mm wires, copper plugs side gap, head work comp springs, all fluids mobile one

    its in the g6's. well some of them. thats all i know.

    With the death of the LS4 in the next model year it's now the most powerful motor for the Impala. It has VVT, used to have AFM (not sure about now), and is kinda spunky for a 60* V6. I doubt there will ever be much aftermarket for it, though.

    Yea, just VVT...the V8's were the only motors to use AFM or DOD if I remember right...all that is out there for those cars IMO is a catback, intake, and a handheld tuner, like a DiabloSport or something. Now a FMIC Turbo'd 3900 would be something

    The 3900 at some point had AFM/DoD. I know I've seen 06+ Impala owners talking about 3-cyl mode.
