I'm talking about smoething like this...

    ZZ Performance

I need some for a project, but not for $85+shipping!!!! Way overpriced for what they are. Anyone else make or sell these? Sure wish I could make my own...

Instead of solid aluminum, I won't if I could use metal strips? I want something safe and realible and I doubt this would be.

Is this to clear something Shawn?

Yeah, $85 for a little $8 piece of aluminum is way too high.

Get some 4'' flat bar and get some one with a torch to bend it for you. Then drill the holes.

    Stronger. Cheaper. ZZP loses

It can't get much better than that.

It is the fact that they brag up their stuff saying buy this buy that and you can go off and make your own for a tenth of what they are charging. I wish I could whip out my wallet everytime I wanted. Must be nice huh?

In ZZPs defense they're just running a business... I will promote my item to sell it

understandable the bracket is quite pricey, but it's up to the buyer to do research

Funny you mention that because EVERY thread that MENTIONS ZZP in a BAD way YOU are there saying the opposite. The way you act in all of you're responses would make somone belive that you work for them.

85 bucks? Yeah 85 bucks is 85 bucks. It's a lot to some people. I guess you are not one of them. Again it must be nice. BUT....AGAIN...It's not nice to spend that 85 bucks on something that is worth maybe a quarter of that.

    Back on topic.

Sorry did not see this post by you Shawn.

I was using 4'' as an estimate. How ever long the bracket is is how logn the steel flat bar will have to be. But it is just a plat peice of steel....Heat it up...bend it....drill holes...done.

I do understand that....but seriously, I can do better for my $85 than that. Just saying.

And before someone kicks us "do it yourselfers" in the nuts about tried and true blah blah....I think you only need to look at the track record for some of us, and you can draw your own conclusion.

I can charge $175 for porting blowers....but I don't, because people can spend the extra $75 they save for something else.......like maybe an alternator relocation bracket I suppose.

I agree, but ZZP is kind of like name brand now.... You can buy a Lacoste shirt for $85 or the same St Johns Bay one for $15... you can buy a Pepsi or Coke 2 liter for $1.50, or you can buy the generic Cola for $0.88...

You pay for name brand these days, some people think it makes them look better

Whoa whoa whoa....now let's not get carried away here. Generic cola tastes more like Pepsi sure, but you can't substitute anything for Coke. And that's just the facts. LOL

Anything Zero/diet is just "turrible" man.....I agree, tastes nothing like Coke.

Look at this, we've turned this perfectly good parts thread into the classic debate.

Time for a new thread? LOL
