I'm looking at putting a pioneer avh-x2700bs into my 05 GP, but I'm not sure where I should route the usb and aux extension cables from the back of the radio. I was thinking to maybe drill through the little storage compartment and put the wires through two holes. Any ideas?

says what doesn't exist? The link is to the Audio and Visual forum. Adding a radio, (double or any) has already been discussed several times even on the first page there are at least 3 posts covering the extra module(s) you may need for anything 04+
