My build is happening in northeast PA. I used to live in Allentown, PA as well and still come to the area a few times a year.

I travel out once or twice a month and work on it. Right now, I'm just waiting on the accumulation of the rest of the parts, then I'll take some vacation time to finish it up. The rest of the time, it just sits in the garage looking sad.

I live in Mass, while the car is currently in PA at my dad's house. I want to get it done soooooooo bad, but some other matters have come up in the middle causing me to divert money away from the project for the most part. Hopefully, I'll have everything settled in early June and have it done before the end of summer.

The 5 speed is the most exciting part of the build, but there are other things happening with it as well...Gen V, XP, intercooled, 42.5lb injectors, SLP headers, GMPP exhaust...typical fun stuff for an L36 block. The goal is to get it done, drive it back, and drive it when it's nice (aka no more winters.) I've got a 99 Jeep Cherokee for winter crap to keep the GT safe from salt and idiots who can't drive.

It's a toy for me and nothing more. I like to play. Eventually, I'll get bored with it down the line, sell it, and buy something else.

yea but the problem with these cars is you usually can never get as much money as you put into it once you sell it but it will be fun i can tell especially with a 5 speed

About the only thing I have in it is labor. I got killer deals on all my parts, so I can't really complain about the money in. The only NEW parts will probably end up being the clutch, FMHE, intercooler pump, hoses, and Gen V to N* adapter. Other than that, I have $400 into buying the car, and the other parts were less than $2k.

I'll be running the Getrag 284. It can take a little more than the 282, and I don't drive like a douche so it should hold up for my purposes. I might be willing to take a trip to Allentown when she's finished. Like I said, I visit there on occasion anyway. LOL

And if you think it's a hefty drive for you, consider I live in MA!! I don't like Philly, so I won't drive that far, plus I can pick up I-84 out of Stroudsburg or I-95 in NJ to get back to MA.

    Fixed that for you.

I know guys who have nearly $60,000 into their cars that they would have trouble selling for $15,000. Mods don't increase values of cars.
