Since UR LOSN mentioned a poly trans mount in another thread I wasnt even sure anyone made one, but I have had some ideas about making my own. They WONT break or fall apart and will distribute forward/backward load very well. The replacement mounts I have seen are absolutely pathetic looking. I am talking about parts store mounts, NOT anything anyone else has had custom made. Is there any interest on these? I will make one up and take some pics in the next few weeks if anyone is interested. Another option here would be adjustable height as that seems to always be a concern. There is only so far you can drop the trans down for clearance reasons and also because the engine cant be lowered too much.

Well damn that got more attention than I figured lol. I know new OE ones from the dealer are in the $100 range, these would be less than that. I will get a donating car in for a few days and make up templates or make some cad drawings for my machinist to make, or just rough some of my own out on a bridgeport to start with. I can tell you they will look like no-other!

That looks more like bullet-holes Ron lol J/K You are at least on the same page as I am.... under the trans bracket! I have been swamped with work lately and havent had time to get the metal fab work done yet or get to my local metal supplier to ask if they can bend the steel I want to use. I already have the bushings and my plans in order, I just need to find some free time during normal business hours to get the rest of the supplies

My plans are for it to be completely rebuildable. The poly bushings shouldnt wear, but in case there is an issue with them, stripped threads, whatever the case may be I want it to be able to come apart.
