As they say Necessity is the Mother of Invention, so if you have an idea for a part, post it up and lets see if someone can take it to the next step. Off the drawing board and onto the car.

Only post your ideas if you are willing to share them with the community. Ideas posted here COULD be picked up by a vendor or an individual and put on the market with no compensation given or expected to the original poster.

This could be a great place to invent the future with your ideas.

What do I want to see:

    1. Complete Aluminum pulley replacement for everything, crank, WP, Idlers, tensioners, etc.

    2. I would like to see a spacer for the hood hinges, so those with stock hoods can lift the hood a little so that a little heat extraction can take place. I have this done to my hood and Ive removed the rubber thing that the hood sits on. I used some thick fender washers and it worked nicely. Really, you can notice it there.

    3. I would definitely like to see more dress up items for the engine bay. Not necessarily chrome or all shiny, just neater and better looking.

    4. I would like to see more 'improved' parts. I know there are some of you out there that have looked and though that part could be improved, Id like to see some of that show up.

    5. A lot of people have names or some sort of identifier for their car. Some personalized parts with those names would be nice.

give me time, I'll come up with more.

You know that rubber thing also acts as a barrier from engine compartment fumes (and heat) getting sucked into the cabin air intake right? Fresh air is drawn in from under the cowl. Granted, fumes would probably be a minimum unless your leaking a little something under the hood somewhere.

Yeah, I have contemplated making that piece sectionalized so that I could put it back but still have a few gaps for the heat extraction.

I think he just meant to use the hole saw to cut holes in the hood so you could leave the rubber insulator strip inplace

    How about this item:

    Measures 3 1/2" wide X 3 7/8" tall and is 0.025" thick.

Labeled as a "Pontiac Identification Plate". It has blank room for the following to be either engraved, or stamped into the aluminum plate.

Make - Model, year, vehicle identification no., engine MFG., C.I., HP, Trans., Diff., Ratio, Paint Number, Color, Paint By, Interior color - material, interior by, and builder.

You could do the engraving yourself with a number/letter punch set, or take it to a trophy store and have them do it with their machine and have hundreds of fonts you can use.

This is the first one I have, and I was going to fill it all out, and set it on a carbon fiber plaque where I can set this under my hood or attach it, for a car show for example. I was trying to have this done before the Branson Meet, but didn't have time as I was messing with a sick car in my free time.

Its totally custom to the owner of each car, they can put what they want depending on the car they drive.

A product through Farnsworth Enterprising/GR8racingfool Products.

Many can be made...and pretty sure they will be a huge hit with any Pontiac car owner. Different colors can be made to, black as pictured, blue, red and so on. Not ready to be released yet...so this is your sneak peek as to what cool as items I have in store for you all.

So I give this product a few weeks to a month before a member passes this idea to a vendor, or a vendor steels it and claims it as their own. So much for be a secret idea...but I can let this product slip out into the open...and see what others think of this.

Okay. You come over here, join our forum and then claim you're all busy and stuff, car stuff, work, family, things Im sure could be shoved down on the priority list compared to us. But Im okay with that, we do have lives and have to work and so, I understand and maybe you 'really' cant post that often. I understand.

Then you post and say well I got this black book and you cant see it, nanah nanah, nanah boo boo, like its filled with something spectacular. Im okay with this too, we all need something to hang on to, something that is ours, so I dont complain.

But NOW, you come in here and you tease us with this name plate thingy and tout all that we could do with it but then say its not ready to be released. So now I gotta draw the line. You cant come in here an tease us waving this stuff in front of us like Nos stickers in front of a Civic owner. It just has to stop now.

You know I was kidding right, its a joke, ha ha ha hee hee hee. Come on, get with the program would ya, loosen up. Geesh.

I like it, sign me up for one. Any chance you would be doing any of the engraving and such?

I second the replacement pullies idea. Have a set for 6 rib and a set for 8 rib. Where is Rov Vogal. His ass is always making home made parts. I want to know whats in his little black book.

I want to see more titanium parts. Things like the the fender braces and brackets. I do not know all the structurals of titanium but I think it could be used to make light weight but strong STB bars, Sway bars, stuff like that.

There is also a lot of parts that could be lightened by making them out of fiberglass like the fenders, doors, trunk. But make it out of that hybridaero fiberglass so it is flexible also. While they are at it make some body kits that do not look so ricer. I would like a new front bumper that looks like the stock one but is lower and a bigger opening in the front for the air intake for the I/C. Drop the bottom an inch or two and then have the opening go up into the bumper area.

That is just the start of the list...

Have you any idea what the price of titanium is?

Example...a regular steel bicycle spoke costs $0.25 to $0.35, a titanium spoke runs $3.00 to $4.50 each. You want them polished? The price jumps to $8.00 each. Typically a bicycle wheel has around 36 spokes per rim...you do the math.

But good idea none the less. Them would be sweet.

There was a guy on the "other" forum making aluminum pulies, I'll have to find his post

I agree that we need body kits that are aggressive and not ricey

We also need some new hood designs

We need a cheaper tunning option($500 - $650 is a lot to lay down on a tuner)

A "ram air" funnel that bolts in the place of the driverside headlamp for the drag strip (preferably one piece of plastic)

A whipple/twin screw kit that works without modification

A decently priced header that can compete with the TOG's and SLP's

LED Headlamps ( a 20w+ white LED would be blindingly bright, **** my 3w battery powered LED flashlight is brighter than my 55W halogens)

    LED taillights .....

I'll come up with more later
2002 GT...CAI, Headers, Special Eddition two-tone leather interior added, HUD added, 12" Brake Upgrade, ZZP strut tower bars, gmpp sway bars, poly motor mounts, -6an braided SS fuel hoses , Hptuned, Headers, Top Swaped, 50lb inj, E85, 3.4
I've got Boost!! Top swap Quesions? Click Here
