Anyone from the Twin Cities metro (I live about an hour west of MPLS) wanna race their "tuned" Grand Prix GTP/GXP against my diesel F-350?
Haha it depends. I'm running an 8500 lb. diesel against whatever you come at me with :P
lol well I live in plymouth about 20 minutes outside of MPLS.
But, my engine is pure stock and your offer doesn't intrigue me that much. But nice to see someone close by on these forums lol
Yeah definitely! I'm like 10 mins from Delano, really close to Hwy 12. I have a shop with a hoist and stuff so if you ever need to work on your GP let me know. I got scanners and all the goods!
free to use?? lol
Could've really used that hoist when me and my buddy converted my single exhaust to a dual on my SE. That was a b!tch to do with no room and no welding equipment.
Lol! Its free as long as I'm there! The one problem with it though is its an in ground hoist so exhaust, trannies, anything under the middle of the car is a struggle. But a guy I work with has a shop with post-style hoists for that kind of stuff.
eh don't need it now lol. took only 8 hours to do it from just using jack stands and air tools to cut the pipes.
But I'll keep it in mind! Never know if something comes up.
Lol that sucks... I did brakes on my F-350 in my driveway when I first got it and I lived in Eden Prairie. I told myself, NEVER AGAIN!! Country, a shop with a hoist, and a fridge full of cold beer was my wish... 1 year later, I win!![]()
nice. One day I'll have a garage like that all to my own lol
Back when I had my intrepid in December...that was just great putting on new brakes and rotors...mid winter...in a cold garage...with a heater that conked out on us as soon as we started...lol. That's why I'm gonna get my brakes and some new struts for my GP done like next month before it gets brutally cold for that lol
I got heated floors and a blower heater for those cold winter days/nights. 70 degrees 24/7
I did struts on my SE about 6 months ago and we could knock it out in a few hours with brakes included. Are you putting new rotors on too?
I'd like to. Honestly don't really know if I need new rotors and brake pads aren't too bad yet.
but I need my front struts replaced because they squeak over any noticeable bump, and I figured that since I'd be under there anyways, might as well do the brakes since I guess those haven't been replaced according to the dealer I got my GP from, since over a year ago. Plus I just kind of want to get the good stuff now for the winter.
At autozone, I quoted myself at getting solid rotors/pads/front struts that are ready to mount for about $550 altogether. I don't know if that would be cheapest or not though. Trying to get good stuff for a cheaper price. And I'm not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to some of this still. Learning as I go. I can maybe do my own pads without help lol
You might not even need new rotors. I don't have a lathe at my shop, but I have one at my dealership, which would save TONS of money. I did my struts and pads/rotors and different times, but I think I spent less than or around $300. That's all aftermarket upgrades from OE too... What year is your GP?
Lol pretty much! If you want some help/space to do those struts, let me know. I got space and a spring compressor and tools to do so![]()
That'll save some dough...thanks for the offer man. I'll keep that in mind maybe in the next month or 2 tops lol.
First I'm gonna keep looking for deals and may end up settling on being bankrupt lol
You and me both... More diesel to my injectors and parts to handle/deliver it really bit me in the anus. But meh, I saved money by not having someone else do it!!
My shop will always be around so send me a PM whenever you're ready!
