Its a good feeling. I used a big lady foot and the hubcap popper end of a lug wrench, didn't really break the bead. You know who works at tire stores and can't fix leaks?
Dumb sum*****es.

I was standing in my work stall ogling my GTP from the side since we're so shorthanded this week (2 guys plus boss so I park longways and stare out the door a lot plus crank up gangster rap and death metal) and remembered that a semi tire chunk whopped my front bumper on the way to work yesterday. Of course right after a nice cleanup job and of course it left a nasty mark. Meh, already sandblasted.

Tis but a scratch.
Heres a lame-ism. My bud from work with the ricer here in the vid. He is begging me to go to the drag strip Saturday, said he'd give me $30 for gas since its a ways from here. He's never been but his car pulled on the GTP a little once when he got up on the cams and I was stone cold so he is excited. I checked the track's site and it looks like he has the date and time messed up anyhow. I was gonna fill up with race gas with the money then go mop the floor with reduced KR. Even had thoughts of open cone for the weekend but nah. He says he was spinning uncontrollably in this vid but ummm... clutch?
No speed limits or laws broken but maybe broke ass vtec. Enjoy.

did someone fart?
Dat boy funny!
he needs more camber too, like he needs more cow bell lol all i hear is mountain, Mississippi queen intro lol
all that camber is not helping his traction one frigging bit.
He loves them crooked wheels because it makes us old folks nervous lol. It s on purpose.
Lol there's a lowered Nissan titan up here that has even more negative camber than that...
Maybe it helps when you're biking it on two wheels lol.
like this local tard, works at the car wash, this car is only there on sundays. so its not a daily driver as far as i can tell, or it would need a set of tires every week or so.

I'm a spaztard when it comes to 3800 troubleshooting, so...
99 GTP, hard starting. It tries to start then stumbles before idling. Sometimes it keeps running after stumble, sometimes not. Fires up with some pedal. Does not seem to be affected by temperature. I always let the pump run a little (1 second) before cranking.
Where to start? Does the description point to any bad parts? IAC, TPS, FPR? I'm just spouting acronyms. Help?
you can pull the vac line off the fpr to see if its got gas leaking out of it, tb cleaning? tune up? clogged up pcv, try starting it cold with no oil cap on. fuel pump resistor maybe? but those seem to just quit all at once.
No gassy FPR hose. Can check PCV soon. TB cleaning and tune-up are prime suspects due to neglect but all those things have been tended to in the not-so-distant past. Maybe a Torque-ing (the app) can shed some light on it too if I pay attention. My TB has a broken screw in it so I need to just snag the 02's tomorrow and swaperoo after freshening it up. It has no other issues I can detect, this is currently an annoyance only but a new one.
GTP update...
Without doing anything to it, this condition is a little better. What it does is acts like I baaaarely cranked it long enough to start. No issues once it idles but dash lights dim when its stumbling.
Cleaned the PCV. Had a look at Torque. Even while stumbling, ign voltage stays at 13.4-13.7.
For giggles I uncapped the fuel rail port and gave it a poke right after a shutdown. Just a dribble. Sigh. Put that pump in there in August last year. Its this one-

So am I doing a fuel pump warranty job today? What do you think? Change filter (again, changed twice after fuel pump replacement) or what?
Rent a fuel pressure tester if you have to. Mine does something like that once in a great while. Only on a warm start though. I've never figured it out mainly since it happens so rarely.
I had that exact thought not five minutes ago... to just buy one if I'm gonna drive junk. It just sucks not knowing FP.
Wondering if its just this tank of gas. I only buy at two places and the last place I filled up was much much older than the other station. I've only been getting gas there a few months but who knows how long ago the gas truck left, y'know? Maybe I'll throw a filter at it just to see what comes out but its acting pretty normal. Perhaps its my perception of time changing and I'm not cranking long enough this week. Remember when I thought my pump went out because I just spaced pumping the gas? Yeaaaah, I'm as slick as 40 grit sandpaper.
Would you guys believe I finally took the left inner tie rod off my ex-40th's rack? Packed some fresh grease in around the ball. Its for the GT which is running around with a bent one still. I've had a new Moog outer end forever and since my folks have the car, I think I'll have them drop it and the parts off at a good alignment place up by them. They can stick that on and give me an alignment report. It will be screwed up because if you remember about the control arm mount being smashed. Heck it drives nice as-is though. Anyway if they can replace that tie rod and approximately set toe that will make me feel better with my parents driving it around occasionally. I want them to keep it until my cypress tree drops its sticky sap for winter anyway because I can only park it close to that and it got badly sapped last year.
Oh... point of post: removed rod from rack using claw hammer, hatchet, Crescent wrench, and ChannelLocks. Should have done this a long time ago but the airbag crash and broke arm along with a crap-ton of unjustice surrounding that... has really had me mentally skewered. Its beginning to fade and keeps me awake less now.
Jury is still out on whether I have an issue on the GTP starting. It might just be me. Car seems good. Gonna ask at work to see if theres an FP gauge around.
