So I decided to go to the shop to work on my car last night, it's having some issues:
Needed to replace the trans dipstick tube, kinda thought I did, but it was in the trunk so I guess my CRS is kicking in.
needed to install my boost gauge
try to figure out what the deal with the locks and door panels was they seem to be sticking.
figure out what the T-tap installed into the light stalk harness was going to. Turns out it was a brown with black striped wire was run to ground at some point and then cut.
clean out the everyday crap that accumulates
So I took a couple of logs, I left at 9pm and it was about a 20 minute drive and was 90* when I left ran AC
Then the the car in the shop:
found $2.82 in dimes pennies and a nickel, some receipts from 2010 from Sonic and some trash, still not sure how it got there. It was between the door panel and door. As soon as I started snapping the clips loose it started coming out.
The drive home:
Removed the old dipstick tube and went to install the new one while jacking up the car enough to get to it. Bad idea ended up with a 3' diameter puddle of trans fluid under the car. Ended up dropping the car back down and installed from the top went in easier, topped off the fluid after and went home. This morning I had a 6" diameter spot on the concrete. I wiped everything down last night so hopefully it's just remnants of the leak, I was not able to find a replacement seal from any of the parts store.
