Coming to a stoplight today, the front end started grinding and popping bad, and when I came to a stop the car wouldn't move forward. Went into gear fine, but when I'd hit the gas it'd rock forward but not move. Tried reverse and it worked, so I backed up down the highway and into a gas station. Having it towed tomorrow. CV joint, maybe? Trans doesn't seem to be the problem.
I really want that Daytona lol
Very nice car. You have to get a set of strut bar braces on that thing, it really makes a big difference. Best 28 bucks ever spent.
Edit,I see the holes, you probably have them lol.
The Daytona is a bit rough, virtually no rust anywhere but it's been beaten half to death lol and it's weird, the car came with the holes pre-drilled and everything, but no bar. I'm ordering a BMR front and ZZP rear when I get the chance
Its doubtful you will notice any difference at all buying a much more expensive front adjustable bar over the GM. Just my 2 cents, the holes are there use the GM bars it will make a big difference for under 30 bucks for 2. BTW someone drilled those, it didn't come with a bar from the factory.
The holes came that way from the factory, my grandma bought it new. I really just want the BMR front bar to look nice, and the ZZP rear to fit nicely without drilling or extra brackets, I know it won't make much difference if any
Hmm, never seen them on a 2004 Grand Prix from the factory. They didn't come on my 04 Comp G that's for sure.
I figured it didnt hurt to ask lol. Ive been looking for a Med. Gulf Blue daytona for the past year.
No it doesn't, I drilled mine. I would be curious to know why yours have them, but they never installed the bar. That makes no sense, seen the bars on lots of older cars although never on 04+ Grand Prix from the factory.
