when I had DIY cai,2.5'' downpipe, hv3, incar tune from overkill for 91 octane, I had no problem keeping up with gtp's I raced (only 2 gtp's). and beat my buddies SSEI bonneville from 60-110 mph by almost a car length.

SSEI's are slower then GTP's so that's not a big surprise. Otherwise, a built NA L36 is going to struggle to beat a stock L67. Mine could do it, but just barely. Forced induction is so much better.

    Novi 1000 dyno: 348whp

FWIW back in '04 my 95 Bonneville could beat stock GTPs with a GT1, PEMs, and a 3.06 FDR...

Stock GTPs aren't that hard to catch up to.

    95 Bonneville SLE: L36/F40/E39. 98 Infiniti i30: VQ35HR/5MTVLSD. 07 Ducati Monster S2R 800: DS1000 swap. 74 Yamaha DT175: Brap.

If you're patient, you can do it rather cheap. I've got about 900 in my turbo stuff at the moment and that includes a billet wheel pt61, turbo crossover, downpipe setup, black off plate, wastegate perch, and I forget what else. But all I necessarily need now is injectors, springs, bov, and wastegate.

1998 GTP Sedan - CT turbo kit, billet wheel pt61, s1x blower cam, Iceman stage 3 heads, 90# springs for all the valve floatz, walbro pump, fuel pump rewire *slowest s1x build ever*

That muffler choice will make your ears bleed.

Some flowmasters on like a 67 chevelle would sound great but not on a grand prix. I can guarantee that all you will hear is the drone and if you don't you are either deaf or dumb.
