If you count the time involved in cutting the pieces by hand and welding them then it was really a waste of time. There are a few people rolling around with them in Houston.

I had materials to make a bolt-in one but just never finished it.

Hey when i originally stated that it was "just a piece of aluminum" i didn't know that you had used 7075. Once i read through the threads a little bit more i realized the work that had gone into it. I hadn't accounted for the quality of craftsmanship or the quality of the materials when i made that statement so i do apologize. What i should have said, and really meant, was that I could make one that has the same functionality for less money but at the cost of a higher weight. very impressed with the design.
