Which one the E85 car, Gutted winter slut, or the Turbo car once done? I might be in a walker by the time the caged car is done...... FML
considering just a 3.4 tog headers gutted gtp with a crappy ghetto tune was quicker than most cars rolling around GF the e85 car will hurt some feelings.
The caged car's target it to take down a 2012 gt500 my uncle bought so once that missions complete ill be happy. i dont care if that car only makes 500whp and runs 12s if its faster than that gt500 thats all i care lol.
i should be back in nd around feb on paid leave so goal is to work on the caged car and do some turbo e85 burnouts in the middle of winter.
turbo car will be sweet though... think you'll need a hand with anything? I'd love to be a part of that! haha
I'm not worried about getting my feelings hurt! it'll just motivate me to spend more money haha. say i have a question on running e-85 by only putting in 42.5 injectors... will i only be able to run e85 or can i switch between that and 91?
Look in the PCM section quite a few E85 threads here lately. Let me know if your around Grand Forks after I get home and your welcome to swing by anytime.
I didn't mean the E85 car hurting your feelings haha, I meant some new Camaro and 5.0 owners from the "tintmasters" crowd back at home LOL!!
pfft been that's just a much a requirement as having tools in the damn shop lol!
Just saw you guys were talking about a lower subframe mount. Might be worthwhile looking at the H/G/C body cars for options. All of them had better mounting than the W body's. I say that without sarcasm (since I usually am.. lol).
Let's look at a 96-99 Bonneville mount, I modified it to clear a set of headers and removed a little strut that originally comes on it.

My modified one: These bolt to the trans and an engine stud. Very similar to the one Tengis was making

I remember PontiacJeff also using the older model 87-91 front right mount too
And then googling you bump into stuff like this

hmmm there's another idea. how well did that work out for you bill? how were the vibrations and what not?
i like the orange blocks mount location. wonder if it would work there and would clear any hoses from the compressor.
yeah not a bad idea either. Im not sure how it would clear everything. ill try to look at that today or tomorrow
Nyceeee
I never had a bit of vibration
Ok guys I have gathered what seems to me to be every part that i need. However, I don't trust myself. If you guys could read through it quick and let me know if you see anything missing that would be awesome.

I would get head studs instead of bolts and get the reusable rocker bolts, just in case.
i have reusable rocker bolts. why do you recommend head studs?
