pretty cool to see them mounts in use.

You have some amazing talent man, I hope you do this **** for a living. If not you must be some crazy drug lord to afford all the cool stuff in these pictures, lol. What are the 2 front VCs for? PCV\catch can setup or something?
I wish I had a shop like that, but no, that's Wally Stroupe's shop/SRC motorsports. he actually built quite a few 1st gen W bodies into pro stock/mods. he had the whole set of cutlass body blueprints in his rack of prints.
this is the third "build" of this car, and its a clean slate, full boogie build that we can fully enjoy without past headaches, and most importantly....walk away after wrecking at high 7's/180+ mph.
great news! we're leaving tomorrow to go pick our baby up! woooo!
some pics from 2 weekends ago (we got there Thursday morning)
94 Oldsmobile cutlass coupe shell, from pinch welds to roof braces, all still there, , only the upper cowl/wiper box remains for the OE firewall., rear wheelhouses are gutted to the rear light mounts, from the base of the C pilar down.
a real street car is all steel, plus with the heat of two powertrains...power windows are gonna be a godsend till we get the HVAC stuff done down the road...WELL AFTER we get it driving lol
I may make the C pillar/lower window ledge/crossbar removable with the rear window for service without dropping the rear frame.
it will work just fine since I have trunk hinges from a 2nd gen W (regal) where the mechanism bolts to the rear quarter/fender lip at the L&R side of the trunk lid drain channel. with it opening 95* and removable with 4 bolts we're set...it'll even work with a fiberglass/CF trunklid from Hairy glass (maybe someday the nose and doors! just the doors in fiberglass would save us over 70lbs.
here's Al... smug as a bug in a rug
here's a view of the front u/l A arms with the mockup knuckle
I am in love with this car already.
I think it's perfect.
Not just any old ultimate sleeper...this is the chosen one.
we're trying to keep it looking as stock as possible....kinda hard though when you have a jungle gym and from the outside it looks like the driver is sitting on the back seat floor....
yeah, I don't think so tim..... how do we hide the two backpacks on the back?
Thanks Wilson. Nice hat
To tell you the truth even I'm a little scared at how fast we could be out of the box
