We did 3 transmission in 2 weeks at work on the same truck. Though it's a co-workers truck but that makes it funny to me because the karma comes back to hit him LOL. Had atleast 5 flip cars that went in and out of his hands with minimal problems and made decent money and now this truck is eating him down.
Having some issues w/wiring/vacuum lines. On the below pictured solenoid, it looks like the red plug from it is supposed to plug into what I believe is the "evap canister" towards the back of the engine. This is also seeming to cause issues with vacuum lines too. Since this piece is part of the 2001 GT wiring/vacuum do I have to delete it somehow? Keep in mind engine is a 97..

This first pic is where I believe the aforementioned red connector is supposed to plug in. The second pic has three vacuum lines coming out. I need some help with vacuum line routing on all of this. I've found some decent factory diagrams online but they only get me so far. Anyone have detailed pics of vacuum lines on a 97?

top pic is the evap solenoid. loos like you found one line, it goes from the tb fat nipple to the solenoid, then the solenoid to the gas tank.
the other one is a map sensor.

I figured out the vacuum lines finally. Also finished the fenderwell cold air intake. Went to put the front tires back on and found one isn't holding air so I'm getting that fixed. Added my trans fluid, coolant, supercharger oil, engine oil. What's left: add gas, run plug wires, tighten down some misc bolts in engine compartment and fire it up.
Fired up the car for the first time yesterday. Found out 3 of the zzp fuel injector adaptors are bad so I have to send those back to swap them out. The other issue is, after I took the adapters off I went to put car in neutral to push it out of garage. The gear shift will go through gears but the car doesn't budge. I'm hoping this has something to do with how I hooked up the external range switch to the trans and not something inside the trans. Any opinions?
treat that rust!
Dang man, you put a lot of work into your car. Good for you! I wish I could do that kind of stuff, but you have to begin somewhere, right lol? Anyway you've a solid runner there!
Trying LS7 lifters to resolve the issue here. I drained the oil, sifted through it and didn't find a spec of anything so I don't thing there is any issue with the bottom end of the engine. Anyways, when I put the new lifters in, there is a little oil weeping area on the lifter. Does anyone know if that goes "in" or "out" (towards exhaust)?
