Appreciate that. Me too and yes, I have been pulled over since becoming a cop. Don't say a word about my employment unless they ask if there is anything in the car. Then I tell them I am an off duty officer and I am carrying a concealed firearm. I deal with the consequence of my bad driving and get my ass chewed by my boss and go on with life.
ive never even thought of running from the cops, its flat out dumb. all you do is add charges.
i love the show cops......the morons who run crack me up. dog bites cant be fun.....and the taser, you can have that one too. ill comply trust me lol
and i cant run on foot for crap either. so why run if i know im not getting away. lol
quick some what funny story.
back in the day, my friend had a 71 gt-37..its a lemons basically. car was slow too. car full of people front and back 5 in all so even slower.
we pull out of the gas station and he spins the wheels and takes off. there was a cop hiding across the street, light came on when he was parked still.
so dummy says, im gonna run lol im like pull over........ so we had a small lead on the cop. he chucks a left, the first right, then pulls into a driveway blacks out. cop pulls up and blocks us in lol ( who didnt see that coming) we all grew up in town, and know most of the cop by first f ing name lol we know this cop well. it Sargent koostra. he rips nicky from the driver, seat tosses his fat ass on the front of his car, the hauls off and boots him in the ass so f ing hard lol no one laughed at the time.
cuffed and stuffed his ass in the car. searched us all, found nothing thank god. once he cooled off, he let nick go with a pile of tickets. he was for sure gonna arrest him, but some how let him go.
the only time i was involved in a cop chase. and i said pull over, more than once. so did all the girls in the car.
pic of gt-37 that stripe down the side lit up when light hit it at night, how he though he was gonna hide blows my mind. this is the same color but the car was almost mint at the time.

I ran and got away, you guys dont try hard enough.
I am looking for opinions. I have speed daddy headers on the engine going in. I also replaced both mufflers back in the spring. I cut off the catalytic and u-bend in anticipation of the new headers. I would like to replace all exhaust between the end of the headers (catalytic area) and the mufflers. Question is how should I go about this I.e piece it together buying a glasspack, intermediate, y-bend etc or buy some sort of kit like this http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com...ND-PRIX/Detail.
Next question is...the speed daddy outlet is 3" outlet and my mufflers are 2.5 inlet. So do I try to keep it 3" most of the way until mufflers or just run 2.5"? Thanks for the input.
3" to 2.5" reducer then the mandrel catback. Or buy new mufflers. I have that catback in 2.5"
Yup exact one. Get 2.5" then all you need is a reducer, flows plenty.

Well, fam got thrown a curve ball this morning. My oldest boy (9) has had severe abdomen pain last 2 nights. In and out of ER Fri nite. No improvement Saturday, so back we came. Ultimately found that his bladder (which is his birth defect/the source of his medical conditions) had a hole in it and was leaking urine in his abdomen. He was rushed into emergency surgery. He is now in icu and will be in hosp. For a few weeks. I know this isn't Facebook or w/e but it is a community of some pretty cool people. So I'm posting this here just asking for some prayers or well/wishes for my little guy Michael.
To make this a little about my car too....car is on hold, needless to say...
i hate to see kids like that. hope all goes well.
i got a friend i just saw a few days ago for the first time in years. two days later hes in the hospital brain dead on life support, his family is pulling the plug soon if its not happened yet. sadly he just collapsed, not sure why or what happened.

Thank you guys. And yes Scottydoggs, life seems so fragile and at the same time so resilient. We try not to take any moment for granted because it might be our last.
