One step forward, two steps back...lol. I can squeeze the tube between the crossover and that egr tube, but it makes the angle down to the hole where the Trans dipstick tube goes, pretty crazy. I might find a bendable tube substitute to try the angles with and then see if it's even possible. Thanks for all the ideas guys.

my dip stick comes around the cross over pipe.

pic taken from the pass side looking to the driver side. the black pipe is the dip stick.

shot from the top of the dip stick down.

That must be quite the bend if it goes around the outside of the crossover? I'll go take a look.

we were talking about this in the chat, seems not all dip sticks are the same. a 97 or 98 tube should work for sure.

that is if you cant get your to fit.

i could have sworn a long while back someone was taking a trip to look for a older style tube for headers.

but my tube was bolted in when the header went on. then i had to bend it a 1/2 inch to clear the cross over.

    looks good boss.

you like rtv a lot dont ya? lol

i used a bead around the lip of the slip joint, on my DP only. the rest are sealed tight with nothing but band clamps. i only did that cause it blew a part on me two times.

Figured if I put a bead in there now I might avoid a problem in the future. I snapped the pic before I wiped that excess away. That crap just oozed out from under the clamp.

Since my Prix still isn't rollin, and I was stuck on 3rd shift last night, did a photo shoot with my other daily driver....

Pictures don't do the color of the trees justice. Oh, got in a pursuit last week on a 3rd shift too. Guy in a Lincoln LS took out a 25 ft tall fiberglass and metal street light, blew out his front drivers tire and kept going. It was pretty epic. Watching him hit the light from half mile back as I was trying to catch up with my dinky V6...was surreal, like watching an episode of cops, lol. Then he pulls in his apartment complex, I come around the corner and he's bailing out for a foot chase...was an interesting night at work.

They are quick enough for most of what we do...until you want to catch up to someone with a V8 or larger while in a pursuit that is...lol.

Wish my job was that fun. But I know your job is pretty dangerous. I just lift boxes all day.

I can see you recognizing someones car from here and pulling them over to just to screw with them, or thats what I would do.

As I've discussed before, I work very hard to leave it at work. I'm one of only a few guys on my dept that changes to my normal clothes as I come and go. My thought behind that is when I take the uniform off at work, I'm leaving the crap associated w/work there too. I do post on here off duty about my job sometimes bc I do still (at times) have that passion and pride for what I do. I say "at times" bc my particular dept. has a lovely habit of sucking the pride and passion out of people. And I can say the part of the job I do bring home is my skills and my observation abilities etc. that allow me to better protect my family...which includes the ability to conceal carry pretty much anywhere...lol.
