i've helped out locals in the past, it really depends on the time frame. i don't really designate a lot of time to be open anymore. if you plan for enough ahead and don't expect me to do the work for you (i'm a helper) then i could probably swing something.

i don't think i have a solidly free weekend for the next couple months. life is busy when everyone is getting married, having kids, and you've got a kid of your own.

Yeah, tooled on it till 1am after work last night. Dad in law is over for the 4th so i snagged his help. Hardened 4th and shift kit should be here in next couple days, so i'll get that in and then drop everything in. Then it will take a few months to remember how the hell to rewire and hook up everything....lol

Got a few leads on some possible local guys but nothing solid yet. Been crazy busy at work w/4th of July festivities and Summerfest going on so I've been slow moving on it. I hope to make headway tomorrow on the new engine. Change out oil pan/gasket. Drain trans, open up side cover and remove 4th gear, photograph/diagram top end and then start tear down of top end for LIM gaskets....yeah, full day.

i'd do a thin smear of rtv on both sides. pan and block. then set the gasket on the pan.

Just a "Razor Drifter". Bought at menards a couple of xmas' ago for da boys. They can whip 180's on it pretty good. Little electric motor w/ hand controls....
So on the trans on the new engine, the lines look like they are thread in, not clip in. Issue is, my trans cooler lines in my vehicle are clip in....help....

    you can change the lines.

not sure if you can swap the fittings on the trannys tho, that would be the easy thing if its possible.

Couldn't you reuse the stock lines from the other motor?

they maybe cut off from when it was ripped out of the other car, but if they are whole, use them. they should fit the rad.

rad side is a clip then the line pulls out. same as your trannys new lines.

They are cut, like every other dang thing on this engine. So i have to flip my old trans over and see if i can pull the old connections out and insert those into the new trans......? I'm hoping that will work.

if they wont swap over you need the lines for the new tranny. junk yard trip time maybe.
