Havent touched the rotors, even though I know they are sitting out in the garage all caked in grime....lol. Damn ocd. Plugged coolant passages are in the plans, did that to the LIM on the old block.Quote:

I want to thoroughly clean up the throttle body from this engine. Question: does the metal screen need to stay on at the intake side of the TB? Or can it safely be removed?
leave the screen, its said to smooth the air out for the maf to read better.
leave it in there for a nice laminar flow across the MAF filament.
that being said i literally never ran one, n/a or blown.

the maf is there to read how much air enters the engine its how it is for a reason.
you can take the screen out see how it runs with out it, some have said with it missing it idled poorly.
Leave it in lol you just enjoy messing with things ehh
