hah, until i had a conversation with my wife last night about how much money we really need to move this year. that was...enlightening?
i'll still try to get done what i can..
well, counting out what i have left for this year...
1) swift springs and revalve, $75/strut revalve, $85/spring....$640
2) 5 lug swap...$572 for hubs and probably somewhere around $300 for rotors and pads....so roughly $850.
3) wheels...$1400ish plus shipping. so let's round that to $1600.
4) tires...245/35R20 are ~$175/tire, 275/30R20 are ~$225/tire...so $800 in tires.
so just to get the car lowered on some wheels (for the spring/summer/fall) i'm looking at just under $4000. plus i have to assume there's going to be other piddly parts i need to add in there. one thing i know for sure i need is shorter, adjustable end links to accommodate being lowered. those are probably gonna be $100/pair. so realistically it's not looking good for me.
then i have to buy a set of new winter wheels once i'm swapped because the 6 lugs won't work anymore...so probably another $1000 in wheels.
i also need to buy a subframe and driveshaft ($250), get the driveshaft serviced for a good carrier bearing/surround ($380?), clean up extra subframe, swap the subframe bushings in the new subframe ($150 plus tool rental [$50]), then swap both into the car. so there goes another $900.
god dammit.
Well, just get another grand prix.
You could have built a car for all of that.
No, I remember the thread, foo
I didn't think this thread was even worth trolling
So did I, you want a brownie?
