The job isn't that bad and has been detailed in a few writeups on here. If you take your time it's really pretty easy. Best bet is to find a friend who is mechanically inclined to give you a hand. For a few hours and about $100 in parts, you can do it yourself.Originally Posted by brugg125er

I went around town yesterday and got quotes for how much it would be, because I have never done engine work myself so I didn't want to mess it up, one place was $950. The dealer in town and the other places were a little bit less than that at $800. I started thinking to myself, maybe I would want to do it myself.
