edit looking at bills db im not seeing it, but heres the link off the web site. http://theblattners.com/projects/tab...r/default.html as a good discription of the program and how to use it.
jerrys tuner note book uses eddies, so thats your dhp guide really.
Ohh dur.. I'm special sometimes.
its the coolest program for us dumb asses who have a tuner but dont really know wtf we are doing yet.
you'll want to start doing this on a hot ass day, the hotter the better. as it gets hotter the car runs differently, trims go out of whack and you start to knock a bit. why its best to scan in the heat.
Indeed
I've been wanting to read through that for a while now.. I'll start on it tonight hopefully.
print it out, what i did, much easier to deal with and you can take it to the car if you need to.
its real good crapper reading material too, cause your gonna read it more then once.
most seem to think the ve tuning is a waste, ive not done it, went right to maf and timing. and shazam!!! its a magical button lol you'll see
I just want to get the fuel trims right.. having 5* of kr with an s1x on a 3.4 is stupid. I have a lot to learn though, it'll definitely be something I'll read over and over.
You might have one of those engines where the head gasket doesn't line up right and hangs into the cylinder.
The HEAD GASKET is very critical on a GTP. In pulling a few heads off we noticed a few things about the L67. One is that the gaskets are not perfectly round. They have a strange shape to them. One can only speculate that this is to contour to the shape of the head. The other thing you notice is that each car’s gaskets look a little different and sometimes on certain cylinders the gasket come right up to the edge of the cylinder wall. This can cause detonation in a big way. The edge of the head gasket is very thin metal and doesn’t have a sink to dissipate the heat like the head does. A head gasket can glow red hot if it overhangs into the combustion chamber even a few thousandths. We believe that this is the biggest difference between GPs as to why some have so much more KR than others.

if i was you. id import the stock maf file back in your bin file, flash it. then let the trims learn. then scan and start using eddies. seems best to start with a stock file.
you may need to scan and use eddies any where from 3 to 10 times. like it says in jerrys note book.
if you have a wideband it will work that in there too.
5% added to the ifr table, -1% on the maf table and my ltft is finally zeroing out at WOT. Now I just need to kick the ipws and o2 milivolts down..
once the fuel trims learn that can all change on you. if they are not learned yet. mine always zero out when learning, then as they learn they dont any more. then you know its time for a another scan.
I drove around on it for a while and they still seem to be zeroing out.. this car loves to run rich as hell.
see what happens after tomorrow, thats when they always tend to finish learning for me. the next day. some say 30 miles, mine always seems to take more time.
your checking the clear fuel trims box when your flashing right? if doing partials flashes that is.
