I shift, start in 1st and everything easily and well! But when it comes to turning, hills, parking is what gets me

All that stuff will come with practice, just deal with the embarrassment for a little bit and soon all of it will be second nature. Keep it, and you'll have a clean dd when you get that Cobra.

Oh that's the little things that definitely take time to get used to, you'll get it. I would always turn and put it in first out of habit like when starting off, but I kept trying to remember, no, 2nd. Hills is downshifting, and yes I never actually got that down in my little bit of driving a manual. That will take the most amount of time. Parking, well that's getting used to the clutch. That does take time.

Just learn first gear. On your own.
Go to a huge empty parking lot
Let out clutch until you feel it grab, release it very slowly it will creep forward keep releasing slowly untill it fully released.. once you get used to how touchy the clutch is the do then you can start adding some gas pedal so you can release the clutch quicker.
Spend the day trying on your own.
Edit: didnt see 2nd page on this thread lol. If you can get out of first easily then the rest will come with practice. On hills just hold brake, release clutch until it grabs. Release brake while holding clutch and add gas the release clutch. If you don't want to stall add lots of gas and release clutch and burnout all the way up hill lol

    Hahaha AK...

OP, don't worry... You'll get it. Just don't be so freaked when you gotta get a new clutch, lol. Stick is where it's at, don't have one but miss it. Just give it time and you'll be fine. Good luck with ride, not a big Ford Mustang fan but it looks good!
