After months of searching.. and continuous arguing with insurance companies.. I found a car! I bought a 2000 Ford Mustang V6 5-Speed, 146k miles, Atlantic Blue Metallic, Tinted Windows, Hurst Shifter, Flowmaster True Dual Exhaust, CAI, Performance tune, 2 Subs and a 1000W amp.

I got a super great deal on this car and plan on doing a TON to it! So as of now I guess this is the beginning of my build thread!

Goals: (mechanical): (Since I plan on keeping this car, and buying my cousins Cobra in a couple years I want to make this in to a nice little street car/ daily driver)

Change Exhaust (SLP Loudmouth, MAC Long Tubes, Mac O/R Hpipe)
    Bigger Throttle Body
    New Heads
    New intake manifold
    Camshaft
    Underdrive pulleys
and if I can somehow find the kit... a M112 Eaton supercharger adapter kit

    Goals: (Appearance Wise)
    Lowering Springs
    Tinted lights
    Mach 1 Front end kit
    Blacked out decklid panels
    Matte Black 18" bullit wheels
    Black GT spoiler

I hope you guys enjoy watching this car "Grow up"

Let me be the first to congratulate you (possibly the only on here.) Car looks clean. I'd recommend a v8 swap over modding the 3.8 tho. Save your time and money.

While I did have this in mind, as I said above my cousin is selling me his 2003 cobra which will be my V8 car lol. I basically just want this car to be unique and a V6 that could make some GT's **** their pants is definitely unique lol.

Hell yeah! The 5-speed and RWD sold me (even though Ohio sucks for RWD cars) you just have to drive slow. Also when I'm done I don't think I'll have any problem smoking some GTP's

I was unaware that they made a cam for the V6.

My buddy has one of those, his is procharged, has headers, lowering springs, body kit, hids, no back seat mod (exhaust shop caught it on fire) and a system....

Obviously a before and after picture.

Good luck with your build! Don't spend too much on these V6's though! My buddy probably has over 15k put into his and he has 97k on it.

I do not remember what it is called, all I know is it's a duraflex. As far as hp he is at about 300whp at 8 lbs with only the headers and upgraded MAF being the other engine mods (he also has the automatic). Shop told him that if he got forged internals and whatnot it should push out 500 whp on 15 lbs.

Congrats, I love that color. You're now one in the very very very small club of mustangs owners on GPF. This car might not ever be a street king, but it can surprise some folks from time to time. Silver is overly kind, I'm no expect in anything, but I'll be more than happy to help in any way I'm able. If you haven't already, check out 3.7mustang.com.

Unfortunately I think i'm going to be selling this car. I can't seem to pick up driving a 5-speed easily and my dad is an awful teacher so I don't think i'm going anywhere. Hopefully I can pick up an auto for cheap

I learned in about 5 minutes pretty much on my own, only stalling it once. That was a year ago, but even now I can drive one, but it's gonna be a rough ride lol. It just takes practice. What are you having trouble with?
