Well, yes. She made a good point. The car runs solid. Everything works great and is mechanically sound. She then reminded me that my sister works for a jvs and my sister has said great things about their autobody program. Well, they do bodywork for free and you just pay for parts. It's all supervised and it's free labor. I don't care how long it takes for them to fix it. It's a great solution.

Welcome to owning a 13+ year old northern car
Re: My Dark Green Metallic GTP - Probably going up for sale
So here's what I've decided after many conversations with family and friends. If the jvs can't do it, I'm going to put the car up for sale. To go along with selling my car, I will also sell my dirt bike so I can get some extra cash to buy the next car. That's only if the school won't fix it though.

How are the rear strut towers?

Rockers are not that big of a deal to cut out and replace. If the school won't fix it id think twice about getting rid of a good car because the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. You know what you have which is not the case with another used car that someone got rid of too....

I know, that's the one thing I don't like about getting rid of it. However, I have no time or know how to do that myself.
Re: My Dark Green Metallic GTP - Probably going up for sale
Just keep driving it. when you can't open the doors when you jack it up get back with me.
Re: My Dark Green Metallic GTP - Probably going up for sale
Well, the local jvs said they should be able to do it! So the car will most likely live on!
Re: My Dark Green Metallic GTP - Good news!

And it won't take 9 months. Probably going to take about a month considering they only get a few hours in lab every day. But hey, free labor and all I'm paying for is parts. Can't go wrong with that.
