Well growing up is tough to do. With the coming of my second child I had to prioritize. Just because one has less free money does not mean he has any less need for speed. So out with the newer and fairly fast, in with the older and slower.

Got to tearing out the useless parts from the factory. So far sway bar, end links, wipers, linkage, motor, fluid tank, wheel wells, door lock actuators, spare tire and trunk trim have been removed. The car already had the a/c delete and the few bolt-ons you see on the top half of the engine.

I know how highly loved and respected the fox platform is on this site, especially ones w/such nice repaint jobs.

Oh yeah almost forgot, originally texas car, 136k miles. 5.0 5spd. Has the non defrost rear window too.

    aw, poo.

this new car could be interesting though. fox bodies are nice with the right setup, i just feel they are too common for me to own one.

Fox bodies are pretty rare in my area for some reason. From what I remember, it's pretty cheap to get 5.0's into the 400-500hp range. I could be mistaken, though.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Only place they are common around here really is at the dragstrip, I actually get sick of them when I'm there. lol

Long term project, chassis/suspension, manual conversions and cage this year. The theme this time around is shedding all possible weight, even though its getting a mild steel dom cage

As much as I do like the LSx engines, I'm totally against crossbreeding. When I get a 67 nova we will talk.

90% sure. I was doing some figuring and it actually looks cheaper to go that route over a well built 8.2 deck sbf. Hard to believe right?

This looks promising, power adder is undecided but at this point it's a moot point.

Can't believe noone guessed. oh well. A bit of progress was made.

Had to make room for the new tenants, so bye bye quad shocks.

    later puny ponys

    Meet your maker...muahahaha. lol

Oh, here comes his little bros as backup...

not the best pics, but will have to do for now. I have to persuade the inner rear fenderwells w/a 3lber later, too close for comfort. Also the tailpipes will need some minor modifications but thats for another day.

Nope, going to try to recoupe some money from this round of purchases

It tows phenomenally, mileage isn't as good as I'd expected but not bad. Only real complaint is that it sounds like a six cylinder. lol
My dad just bought a xlt w/the 5.0. I like mine more.

Nice notch... I'm definitely jealous. People want an arm, a leg, and a portion of the scrotum around here for 'em.
