Op wants to ask for advice then tell everyone they are wrong when in fact, they are right. I like how you call me out and noone else. Weird.

like my friend spade i dislike when someone misrepresents their actions and intentions.

i've been researching rallycross and roadrally
and i've been lurking on grassrootsmotorsports since they are actually based in daytona
i for one would have entered in my pos gtp w/ gpo's and roof rails just to piss off people on here
    esp if i rolled it

however the number one drawback is there is no stick
stripped down to nothing the car gets a few hundred pounds lighter if you remove almost everything

unfort the number one concern about the x races is cornering so he needs to build up what the wbody lacks from the factory. a decent suspension and then with rally you'll need ground clearance and underside protection

    i'm rambling w/o a coherent thought

Why is it when someone on here talks about any kind of racing with their GP they get shot down. If the person is looking to be competitive then yea, shouldn't have this car. If its for fun why shoot them down?

how are you going to meet SCCA guidelines. unless your just going to do road rallys
unfortunately here in the south, the backwoods rednecks actually require cages to compete

so lets hear how you're going to puter out of the questions i asked
I never said it was sanctioned by the SCCA. It's not. I never claimed it to be anything organized by some national governing body. If you are interested in joining you can PM me for more details. We do all wear helmets but we don't use cages. Dangerous? I'm sure, but so was nascar when they did it without cages.

That's exactly what we are doing. We have some beater cars, we have some land, why not just thrash around in the dirt for fun. You guys act like I said I was entering it in the Dakar or something.

maybe people wouldn't have gotten the wrong idea if you named the thread Project FieldRunner
so the SCCA comes from the thread title
