I'm not against the idea, but if you're doing it you need to focus on the weak spots in the car first. Suspension should be #1 on any off road setup. Not only that but fwd has a ton of under steer.

Why not sell those and get a decent rallycross platform? You can pickup a bugeye scooby cheap enough...

Instead of saying sell the car just enjoy the potential, have some laughs, make some jokes, brag about your own car, something a bit more productive.

I took my gold b1tch on a tank trail recently.....IT.......WAS.....AWESOME....and my passenger almost sh1t himself, then turned ghost faced LOL.

I grew up driving on dirt roads, so I wasn't worried, although the GP was all over the place. Best part though....I was only going 35MPH, but the heavy, fwd, fat b1tch made it through.

Autocross to Win (DGs Autocross Secrets) - The Driver

On suspension, bilstein coilovers, the ONLY way to go.

Also ZZP front LCAs, and BMR rear suspension kit + STB's.

    All granted it's class legal.

Coilovers will be the best place to start.

But this is all granted you figure out the wheels/tires first. That matters more than suspension.

Your plans for power mods literally won't help you at all if you can't lay any power down.

And seeing as its off road you plan on tackling, forget about it. The stock diff will shear into pieces. It simply does not like the wheels spinning at different speeds.

I have more dumb sh1t than i can rember sometimes. try driving on a gravel road at night in thick pea soup fog with someone screaming at you to slow down. hell the fog wasnt all that bad to my eye i deal with fog so think you cant see you hand in front of your face.

The Focus, Golf, Corollas, Celicas, etc. make grat FWD rally cars. So do the early Imprezas, 93-95 could be had in FWD. Minis are excellent rallycross cars. Grand Prix? Not so much. Too big, too heavy, too awkward, chassis is too flexible, not balanced at all. There's a line between being different and having a blatant disregard for what actually makes sense. You've crossed it.

    2005 WRX STi , 2002 WRX, 2007 Impreza 2.5i, 1997 Impreza L coupe - All stock

I like being different. But when people ruin perfectly good cars it pisses me off. If you can pull it off, great but I feel it would cost too much just to make the car safe and not destroy itself. I really would consider a different car. Others have made great suggestions. There's an old Subaru wagon that looks tits rally cross look from the 80's down the street
