why on gawds green earth would you get a 2.5" DP?
|
Isnt stock 2.5"? I honestly dont know... I have never given a **** enough to research it. LOL.
I don't know either lol
Stock is 2.25 iirc
And 01+ has more than 02 codes. They have cat diagnostics that make it run rich until it sees different readings from the cat. There was a thread about it
Yeah if you set it to report but not illuminate the cel or something like that. For a while it seemed unavoidable and was always talked about when modding 01+. Apparently its easy to avoid as long as you tune.
I have ZZP's 2.5 cat-less DP and I have no issues. I think 3" would be overkill for N/A but if you are doing ER rockers with springs, HV3 and Plog, a 3" would probably be ideal. Headers would be too much flow for N/A but might be ok as well for the mods listed previously.
Meh i already bought the brackets so I'll just run them. As for the mounts i probably could do myself but the LIM I'd rather have help on. Plus its a good excuse to go visit captnslowregal i mean captnbreakalot.
If your going to go through all that work at least go Impala or Fbody.. After all the only thing you've purchased was the bracket so no huge lost.

Guy sent them out yesterday so I'll just run them I know fbody or impailers are better but I'm due for new brakes anyway mine are scary.
These are so dirty![]()
Last strut came, now i need too decide if i want to wait and do my brakes at the same time. Anyone know what size tubing fits over the bleeders?
OKAY so after many a snapped bolts and runs too the part store i have everything done.
-cleaned MAF
-new air filter
-flushed brake fluid (old was green eww)
-brakes all around with 12" upgrade in the front
-KYB drop in assemblys all around
-new napa reman axles
All in all i could have knocked it out in a day without all the setbacks. Now sit back and enjoy the pics. I still need to break in the brakes, top off trans fluid and grt an alignment.
Day 1 getting rear strut bolts loose and cutting my knuckles up
Nasty fluid
rear done
This is why my brakes sucked....
Me at 6am getting the axle out
guide bolt I snapped because it was seized
The axle I accidently ripped in 2, notice the missing grease. It was all thrown up on the subframe, had been like that for at least 35kish
Didn't know a decent amount of ATF would come out of the passanger side....
new and ready too go in, these were cake a simple "smack" from a hammer on a pry bar and they came right out.
Bleeding the brakes/flushing the lines with new fluid
all done plus 12" rotor upgrade
New air filter
and 4x4!!!!!

Also I only dropped my wheels on the face of them twice, ffs I'm a tard.
In for an alignment and tire rotation right now. My god it rides like a totally different car and these brakes are awesome. They make a humming noise under braking but i really don't care. After i got the last of the air out of the system the pedal is nice and firm now. Still have a clunkish noise from the front end on the dirt roads but im thinking subframe bushings or sway bar bushings.
