I actually got quite a bit done today, starting with getting rid of the old fluorescent bulbs and getting some LEDs in the shop. BIG difference there. I went through and cleaned all the internals and gave it all a transmission fluid bath afterwards That stuff was pretty dirty. A long time ago I drove to Joplin and picked up a parts transmission from a 06 GTP. It worked at removal, and had 130k on it when the engine died. Transmission worked when it was pulled. I ended up using the diff, diff housing, input\third drum, and ratcheting sprags from that transmission. Once I got all the main internals cleaned up, I went ahead and pulled apart the 2-1 Manual Servo and the 1-2\3-4 accumulators along with the tubing and cleaned all it out. The accumulator housing were a bit dirty, but nothing too bad. With everything out, I went ahead and threw the case in the back of the truck and pressure washed it at the car wash. Only thing I really have to clean before it's ready for assembly will be the VB\CP and thrust bearings. For the bearings, I'll probably take them to work and run them through a parts washer or something. The VB isn't too bad, so I think the worst is behind me. Dad's coming down tomorrow, so I'll probably clean the 2 thrust bearings by hand tonight needed to put the diff in so we can put it in tomorrow. Who knows, it's been a long day. Pics!
Bucket of parts and fluid, I went through each and cleaned them as best as a could without removing the seals. I don't have any of those damned J tools to do it:

Acuumulators all put back in, still need to torque the bolts, though:

That's about it. Nothing overly exciting, but a lot of work, lol.
