my brothers got a old bolt action sheridan pellet rifle. ( takes up to 8 pumps. by 8 its hard to shut the handle) takes hunting pellets too. the slug is about a gram in weight too. at 30 feet it would go through 3/4 of a real fat phone book here. cauliflower dimes taped to the wall. it kills woodchucks with skull shots.

if you took it out to kill pests, the pellet went through them, not like a pos daisy.

edit: iirc, it shot a 4 or 5 mm slug lol it was a nasty pellet gun

That would have been the .20 caliber. The Sheridan/Benjamin pellet guns are really good too. They also have a .22 caliber as well. I only really work on the Crosman ones as they are easy to modify the pumping system, chamber and hammer system.

Yea I live across the street from a high school so I won't be firing much off for awhile until we move, lol. I have a Marlin Model 40, but I never really had BB or pellet guns growing up. I did play with aerosoft a bit in my early high school years, but that's it.

I don't shoot unless I can hit it. We use pellet guns in the backyard for practice. I don't have anything behind us for over a 1/4 mile. I use the LDC so we don't even make any noise. Our new house we don't have any trees or anything. The War was at our last house, about 12 years ago.

Hitched a ride with a buddy of mine up to the JY today and finally found a fender for the driver side. It's even white too! It's got a small bit of rust down on the bottom, but nothing bad at all. I'm talking the rust we all get on a the pinch welds, nothing crazy. I'll get a pictures. It has one scratch that goes down to metal, but it's nothing I can't touch up with the rest of the car. This is pretty cool because I have 1 more small dent over the doors on the passenger side, but that's it. Then I have to start the touch ups...

Sweet, I went to the JY today and every GTP was gone! There was a white one there with a good fender and I should have gotten it while the getting was good.

Hey bodyman! Good going. Hope the white is a decent match for yours. Assuming rust is the issue on the old one. The one I got not long ago wasn't pretty but it was black. It had the bottom mounting flange folded over and crusty and the wheel holding the car up was blocking my way. Had to cherry pick it by the core support lol but I got it, and worked it before install. Hope you didn't have to fight for it too bad its fairly hot outside.

So are your splash shields cherry? It took awhile to come up with a good pair at the JY and I noticed there are thick and thin ones. That might be a year to year variation but fit is same and I don't think the aftermarket makes shields. I bet you'd want thick ones.

The plastic liner? It seemed the same on the car I pulled it off of. It's fairly thick I guess. That is funny about lifting the car, because it's exactly what I did. It was kind of funny, Springfield had forecasted something like 102*F, so we were ready to sweat our asses off. We got there and saw some clouds rolling in, by the time we got in with the tools and about halfway back to the car it started sprinkling. When we got the to car is was POURING sideways. Luckily the car we were going to get that fender off of still had seats and windows and all that so we just got in and sat down, lol. We sat in that car for about 45 minutes during this downpour. It got pretty windy, too Hoods were slamming around us and the car rocked quite a bit. Then just as soon as it started the rain stopped and it was something like 80*F outside with a descent wind. It was smooth sailing from there, found the best fender we could and pulled it, and wandered around for awhile.

9C1s were gone. Well there was 2 9C1s, but they were the ones I took the cooler lines off of, lol.

    Yep fender liner.

Thats a not every day experience... not gonna ask how you passed the time! At least it wasn't blazin sun. Turns out the shields I got are for SE, different. I made one work on the side that was in many pieces by joining part of the old to new. Everything gotta be an adventure!

That goofy looking guy that did the welding on the strut towers? Yea I was with him. I called my wife, we listened to some music and he just frankly doesn't shut the f*ck up. It was a long wait.

Dooba? Is that a combination of Danny and Booba? lol. This was a different yard that won't let kids in so he had to sit this one out.

    Yeah, that!

FWIW I had a moment today and went to page 1 of this thread to reveal the "origin" of Booba's ride. You have come a long way and I am duly impressed. You started with a... and now you have a.... well I'll be. Nice work, keep it up. The truck even has its own appeal despite the less loved year model. I'm studying on making my own thread. Realized I read rules wrong first time, it says no multiple threads on one car, rather than no multiple cars on one thread as I had read it then. I don't need but one for all the junk. Working on it as a whoring reduction and am looking at examples because jelly. Mine have stories instead of mods, yeeee-hoooo.

Oh a Doobie! lol. Yea, I don't have that many stories with this car, except for stories about working on it, lol. I'd kill people for some of the things that happen to you in your cars though...or at least spend a night in jail. The goofy guy is a square baby so I had to leave the herbaltainment out of this venture. The car really has come a long way, I've had my hands on basically every part. I have a lot left to do, but it's defiantly on a totally different level than when I got it.

I also got a little chuckle today. I have never called my car fast. Ever. I may call it "quick", or maybe even "pretty quick"...but even "pretty quick" is always followed by "for a family mobile" or "for a grocery getter." Never fast. IMO before I can call a car fast it needs to be into the 12s. I am nowhere near that. I'd honestly be happy if I was in the 13s at all. I feel I should be but we gotta remember, I have bullits and ME driving it. I've never been to a track, so I'd most likely suck at it. Anways, so my car isn't fast, I don't drive it like it is. I can count on 1 hand how many people I know that have been in the car when I have floored it (excluding wife\kids). Today goofy guy told me this punk kid at work said he'd outrun me in his 1978 F150 with a 300\NP435 with 31s. I might just have to prove him wrong...

You would easily be in the 13's if you offloaded about 500lbs of relay and wiring lol. And yeah, these cars are quick, and fun to drive. And even better, cheap to work on. And because something is always breaking, a great opportunity to hone your mechanical skills.

I don't think I've added that much weight, I put the aluminum subframe and front bumper, along with various small things like headers and all that. The peel n seal is 3 pounds in the packaging and everything, so with 8 rolls in the car I've added 24 pounds. Plus the stereo, but it's nothing that fantastic just 1 12, 2 amps, and a small box. I figure the "weight reduction" I've done pretty much broke even against the Peel N Seal, with the added benefit that it's not in the front. My engine mods are ER rockers, L76 Springs\Manley retainers, Reptile tune, 3.6 Gen V, SSAC headers, FWI, ~2800 stall, and a few other things to make the transmission shift quicker. You think it'd put me in the 13s? I think the Bullitts might keep me out of it.

For me to tune it at least. Possibly the transmission rebuild. Depends on timing. I run rich right now(-10% LTFT or worse) for no reason, and I get blips of KR now and then.

(draws square in the air with index fingers) lol

Hey it'll outrun your truck, call it good! Naw, I know wat ya mean, my boss has a Lightning but I'm the failing instigator, he won't go. 13s is substantial. I have to imagine that req'd mods would be that also. I like to think (with lots of tries and a little prep) my 69 is in the 13s. Don't tread on me hoss, I'll have to DO something to it! Typin up that thread now, a brief history is essential IMO. You'll see.
