Finally fixed my head unit, for some reason the sub preouts lost their ground. I've also been chasing this chugging problem for quite awhile, and finally found the problem. I previous thought it wasn't the problem, but it is indeed the TCC solenoid. I pulled the pin out of the PCM plug (disconnecting the TCC solenoid), and this thing drives perfect, best it has since I have owned it. That said, a new TCC solenoid will be installed when the new wheel bearings are installed...either next weekend or the weekend after.

Picked up some new wheel bearings today, TCC will be going in a few weeks from now. For now I have the TCC wire disconnected from the PCM.

Well, the wheel bearings fell apart when I took them off, so the new ones feel amazing. I still have an ABS and Traction Control light, so I pulled the connector at the EBTCM to check the rear wheels, and the passenger side is bad. That's getting replaced tomorrow, and hopefully I'll have ABS and Traction Control. That'll help on the 2600 mile round trip coming in December...

K, all 3 wheel bearing have been replaced, and I STILL have no ABS or traction control. Damnation. I'm getting the other wheel bearing replaced next weekend, and if it still has no ABS, I'm replacing the EBTCM. What else is there? Granted I check the wiring of course.

Looks like the other wheel bearing is indeed bad. I checked it with my meter and it's completely open, so it's toast. Next weekend I'll be replacing it, then hopefully ABS will work...for once. Tomorrow I'm driving it up to the junkyard to get various parts, a MAF connector, more one touch modules, who knows what might catch my fancy.

Just got back from the JY, picked up a relay for my truck, 4 one-touch modules, and a MAF harness. Not too bad for $10, but the ride home was fun. Before I get into my racing story, keep in mind I live in the country, and I already know my car is faster than a John Deer tractor, so I haven't ever raced it against anything. Anyways, I pulled up next to a lowered 240SX, and nodded at the driver...ya know, the hillbilly hello. I wanted to see what the car was capable of compared to another car, so I wanted to race, but didn't know if he wanted to or not. Light turns green and I hear his fart cans scream. I had started to accelerate, but nothing crazy, so I slowly laid into it to try and keep traction...which kinda worked. Before 55 MPH I had over a car length on him so I let off at my normal cruising speed, 70. About 4 miles up the road he catches up to me and rides next to me at 70 for about 30 seconds or so, then he rev'd. I figure I'd rev back to tell him I'm game, so I pop it up into neutral to rev back, but he just downshifted and started to go. I pop it back into drive and then gun it, and passed him like he was on the side of the road up to 105 MPH, which is also the fastest I've had the car. I know, I know, stupid story and I sound like a kid telling it, but hey, it was fun for me and was nice to see the fruits of my labor...so if you wanna flame me, suck a dick. We all have a bit of kid in us, and sometimes we have fun.

Are you going to do any exhaust paint?

My heat shield and crossover held up nice. The manifold, not so much, lol.

The last car I drove was an 2001 civic that was auto...so this car is pretty quick compared to that, lol. It'll get faster as time goes on as well, tax time will result in good things, lol.

As far as painting the exhaust, I don't think I'm going to waste my time, the next major modification to the engine will be headers, at tax time. Headers, rear struts, rebuilding LCAs, and new sway bars will happen then as well. If funds allow after all that, a overkill PCM and 3.4 inch pulley will be next up...unless I need an intercooler to goto a 3.4 on a gen V. This is most likely the case, so the pulley\intercooler will probably wait.

I've just been sitting here at work reading your thread for the past few hours. All the work you have put into the car is awesome, I would love to be able to go through everything in mine to do what you've done with yours. The car looks great and I hope it continues to work for you and get better.

Thanks man, I really like the car. The biggest PITA was the blower motor, which wasn't that bad, so I really like working on it, too. I have to keep reminding myself that I bought the car with 230k miles on it, and I've had it for about 9 months...so it's come a long way. I had my truck for damn near 5 years before it reached it's current state...and I got it with 55,000 miles on it. Comparing the 2 timelines, I have come A LOT farther on this car than I did on my truck in 9 months, lol.

Oh yea, I pretty much finished the one touch stuff, all 4 windows have one touch up and down. This weekend I'll tear into the sunroof to set up the one touch close. Still kind figuring out how to pull that off...I know the wiring end of it, but I solder every connection and most of the wiring is in the headliner AND over my head. I foresee me needing a new headliner in the future, or having some pretty cool burn marks on my face....or both.

Seems that the AZ trip I had planned at the end of December has fallen through, they're cutting hours at work, and I loose out on an entire weeks worth of unemployment during our 2 weeks off (waiting week). It sucks, but oh well, now I'll have more time to get the car done\reliable since we'll be going in June instead.

Installed the new MAF connector last night, car runs MUCH better now. Today I pulled part of the headliner down, pulled out the sunroof harness, and went back inside to solder. Finished up soldering the one touch module into it all, but I'm gonna hold off on reinstalling it all until tomorrow.

Sun roof OTC is in and works great. Replacement wheel bearing is postponed until next weekend, and thats about it...unless I can think of something to get on the JY trip on Friday.

Okay, so this ABS\TCS thing is really starting to piss me off. All 4 bearings are new, passenger side front harness is new, all 4 wheel bearing show the same resistance AT the EBTCM connector, and I still have the ABS\TCS light problem. I went ahead and disconnected the battery for awhile and I'm letting it sit now, I'll connect it again in about an hour or so. Next step is the EBTCM replacement, right?

Holy crap, I hate wiring sometimes. I'm having some weird problems, so I decided to tear some of the dash apart and check wiring out. I found out that the BTSI fuse is not getting 12 volts. I checked the wiring continuity from the Battery to the IGN fuse, and from the fuse to the Ignition switch, then checked the white wire's continuity to the BTSI fuse, and checked the pink wire's continuity from the BTSI fuse to the Shift interlock connector, everything was perfect. So, it looks like I have a bad ignition switch, and I'll be getting a new one tomorrow. I'll install it, and see what all problems get fixed.

My speedometer stops working in neutral, my ABS\TCS is showing no codes, but both lights are on, all kinds of weird fun things.

Haven't done much to the car lately, mainly a combination of the weather and I've been working 60 hours a week. BTSI is repaired and works fine had no impact on anything else though. I broke a piece of my driver side tail light off, it was already cracked so it just needed a push in the right direction. I just got some new tail lights in the mail that are already tinted, and they looks GREAT as far as I can tell. I'm going to wait to put them on because the weather is supposed to get WAY worst in a week or so, so these are gonna stay inside until there is no snow on the ground....for at least 1 week straight. I am polishing them up and waxing them, so they'll be ready to go. Here's some pics:
    Out of the box:

    After polish\wax:

Not much of a difference, but it is noticeable in person. These were in fantastic shape to begin with, and packed VERY well:

I'm still working on the other tail light, it'll get wax in here in a minute. Not my glasses...:

Also, I hope to be buying a remote start alarm system for the car, I'm think of going with a 6 channel Autopage since I have one on the truck and love it. I'll have 3 extra channels to play with on the alarm, and I'm going to try and set one up to roll down\up the front windows, one to roll down\up the back windows, and one to turn on the automatic climate control. I've talked to 3 engineers for work and they're not familiar with the circuit I'd need to roll the windows up AND down on the say ground trigger, so I'll be talking to a few other guys I know on the subject.

I went junkyarding today and bought some sway bars. I was hunting for GMPP bars, and when I went to measure a stock GP for reference, it had a Dorman bar. It was all pulled and everything, no work needed. I got the bar and bushings for $22, and I'll be buying some endlinks for the install.

While I was at another JY, I bumped into another member on here who said that I could install a rear sway bar from a 95 Z34 Monte Carlo on my GP, and it was 22mm. We went ahead and pulled it, and I'll be trying to mock it up once it warms up a bit in a few days. Here's hoping it all works out, who knows. Here's some pics of the stuff:
    Front bar:

Rear bar, I have the rest of the hardware as well, just gotta clean it up:
