Just finished reading your entire build Booba! Great work you've done so far, I'll definitely be needing some more wiring schematics from you in the future! Two thumbs up :)

Sweet Jesus, you guys should see my Facebook. Someone mentioned Roof rails for sale and I suddenly got 50+ tags, lol.
You and me both!
I found roof rails on craigslist for $180 I think, I would if I had the money
180 is way much, people on Facebook can't even sell them for 90-120
Explains why they're still up there, but I rarely see them. What fb pages are y'all on?

So I rarely drive the car. Maybe on the weekends if that. Last weekend I noticed the belt squeaking a bit, but it had just rained so I figured the belt got wet. Well, today I drove the car and the squeak was worse along with that "bad bearing in a pulley" sound. With my luck lately I was ready for it to be the alternator or the A\C compressor, but it was the water pump. Luckily, I have a spare so I'm in the midst of swapping it out right now. Metal shavings anyone?

Water pump is done and all is well. Nice quiet idle, not belt chirp, etc. Temp did get up to 215*F sitting in the drive thru, and I started to get concerned since it never got that hot before...until I remembered I went back to a stock tune with stock fan settings. AVT Box will be ordered hopefully this week, depending on when the funds get here to purchase it, lol.
Looks like I called it. My battery died last night. It's been slow-starting for about a week, but it finally bought the farm last night. Ironically, a few days before Thanksgiving last year I had the battery warrantied out, and the year before that (A few days before Thanksgiving) I bought the battery. This car must not like the holidays. I haven't checked the connections and all yet, but these symptoms have been going on for a few weeks and I've had the terminals off and on a few times since then. I suppose the water might be low, I'll have to check it.
If it is bad, like I expect, I've tracked down an AGM battery at Oreillys (only thing around here) for $170 that is both top post and side post, which will be nice for the added equipment I've added. I've read that this battery is a rebadged Deka, so I'm happy with that.
Anyone have any input on AGM vs flooded cell batteries? I found a dual terminal AGM battery at Oreillys which is supposedly a rebadged Deka, for $171.99 unless I can find a buddy with a commercial account. It's only 775CCA though whereas the battery I have now has (had) 800CCA. With some size related modifications and a few new starter and ground cables I can try and squeeze a 850CCA 65-72 battery in there, but I don't know if all that work would be worth the 75 (or 50) CCA increase I'd see. Food for thought, I'm adding a second battery to the trunk within the next few weeks.
AGM's are great if you need to mount them sideways, upside down, or on a rig that see's a lot of off-road thashing. Other than that, they are all the same.
From what I've read, AGM's take cold temperatures better, deep cycle better, weigh less, and last longer. I found out my buddy gets a discount down to $122 on the AGM battery so I'm going to go that route, so I guess I'll find out first hand, lol.
All installed, I like the wiring being separate, looks cleaner to me. I have another AGN fuse coming in on Monday so that red wire will be shortened when that is installed (when the trunk battery is installed. AGM is not lighter. Might even be a little heavier, lol. We'll see how it works out from here:

I don't know those acronyms but that looks super-clean. Looks like we get our batteries at the same gittn' place. Its so nice to have full zap strength, and I bet you're glad you found / solved the weak battery thing before any nasty weather comes around. To stretch the old cliche... Now come do mine, lol! You do neat work, my GTP could use you. And some parts.
Thanks man. I joke with the wife about taking a few days off work and cruising down to meet up with you, then down to Jeff in TX. I'm sure it'd be a good time, lol. This is basically a battery that is sealed so it's maintenance free, holds up to vibration better, can work at any angle (that part doesn't matter to me), holds up to lower temperatures, and just overall lasts longer (from what I've read at least). It's basically like an Optima battery (before Optima went to ****), that I paid $130 total for.
Sweet! Mine says 78EXT on it and was only a few bucks less. Hell I'm off til Monday and gas is cheapish, its tough not to get travel urges. But that rain is a'coming. Guy at work might come scoop up my GT for his kid, or so we were discussing earlier. Shes excited and wants to see it. If we can agree on $, its theirs.
