To many hours not enough pay
Eh, it's enough for around here, but I'm not saving to buy a house anytime soon, that's for sure. Problem is I live out in the middle of nowhere so this is literally all that's around me. I don't have to drive to work though so that's nice. At some point over the next year we're moving closer to Springfield where I can get a much higher paying job.
Lol That car club was short lived. I just got deleted because I didn't agree with the Admin. He posted a picture of a caged Civic (only a Civic body) with a big turbo and all that **** saying it was faster than a fully dressed GTR that was 2,000 HP. I said it was an biased comparison since the GTR was fully dressed, AWD, not designed for straight lines. They flipped WAY the **** out threatening me, calling me names, etc. Saying I hated Civics and I was talking ****. Then since HE was an Admin he banned me. Oh well. Like I said earlier, it was mostly a bunch of kids wanting to be in the Fast and Furious when they grew up
Doesn't sound like you lost anything, lol, kids. For the record I have refused to watch the Riced and Ridiculous series. You must have been the shortest lived member in the history of that club for him to ban you just proves you right, bunch of kids.

Yep, immature assholes. Don't get me wrong, I can be an asshole when I want to be, and piss pretty much anyone off (my wife will verify this). Since I was new to the group I was relatively tactful in my responses, but they flew off the handle. Once they started flying off the handle I did kind of slip up and say something along the lines of "I had a Civic and I loved it, 38 MPG consistently but that's it. It was dog slow, and NOT fast. That's fine though, because it wasn't meant to be. Civic's are slow cars, plain and simple. Even if you do manage to build a fast Civic, it's still originally a slow car. It's like being the fastest kid at the Special Olympics." Those weren't my exact words, but it was something close to that. You can kind of see in the pictures how the ricer crowd was behind us, and that's where they stayed. It wasn't a total waste of time though, I've been friends with a few local GP owners for damn near a year now and i finally got to meet them in person, and they were awesome guys. I'll be meeting up with them for sure, mainly because they want to pick my brain about the electronic stuff done to my car, lol. There are 3 of us talking about going in 1\3s on a DHP, so who knows where that will go.
New ballast came in. I'm installing it tonight since it was too hot today, I picked up some self tappers to mount everything instead of just using double sided tape so I'm pulling both headlights for that. My buddy also gave me a G6 emblem so I stuck that on. Not the best fit, but it'll do I think. I'll know for sure tomorrow in the day time. I'm also adding second layer of weather stripping to help with headlight bounce. This should do it for sure, headlight is pointed WAY too high so when I aim it back down it'll be perfect. Snapped a few pics of the new emblem, but not the ballasts or anything:

You can see how the emblem isn't at quite enough of an angle to match the bumper, but I think it'll be okay. If it's too bad I'll dremel the middle of the backside a bit:

Haven't snapped a pic of the interior in awhile. LEDs are bright huh?

Looks good during the day, I like it!

That emblem seems like something out of autozone to be honest. Doesn't fit the bumper at all.
I'm gonna try it out for awhile and see what I think. I still have the stocker to put back on if I want.
Bend it a tad bit so it fits the bumper then you'll have a winner.

i tried that had heard a crack so I held off. It's pretty stiff. I'll probably dremel it down in the middle of the back side to give it a bend. I'm eventually going to repaint or possibly replace the bumper so I want it removable for now.
Exactly why mines is sitting on the shelf.. No point in throwing the new emblem on when I plan on replacing the front bumper eventually.

This will stay (not fly off while driving), but it was testing the waters and seeing how it settled with me over time, lol. Plan is to turn my shed into a little paint booth and paint a few things for the car: the hood, the fenders, and the bumpers. The truck also needs a few things painted so it'll put me in practice for all that. I really need to get those rocker panels finished. That's going to be the next major project to get completed. I may collect parts for other projects along the way, but I have to try and get those done by winter. Once those are fixed and a few other random odds and ends, it's really a pretty clean car.
Here boobs I made that vidya if you're curious on what I was talking about.

Watched video again, I think I get it now, you want it to flash high beams you wanna pull it back but not click it.
Have you out looked for a white fender in the JY?

Every single time I go. It's like they're cursed. The rest of the car will be relatively perfect for the most part, but the driver fender is always fubar'd.
Added to list of **** to look for next JY trip lol
Oh and I no luck with the grand am.. Center caps

Thanks for checkin, lol. It's one of those things you see millions of until you want one, then they scatter.I'm tossing around the idea of finishing up the top half of the car during my week off (if I have one, rumors). That means painting the B and C pillars like the A pillars, and recovering the head liner. I'm kind of intimidated by the head liner. I went down that whole route with the Civic and it never stuck, that was in the billion degree Phoenix weather.
Headliners rather easy peasy, some patience is the key.. Don't use that cheap locktite adhesive it's ****.. Glue spots everywhere.. Spend a bit more and go either the 3m 90 strength. I've done it twice on the GP.. First time was on there a good 4 years or so but my ocd got to me and I just had to redo it because of it was to thick and brought to much heat in the cabin (I didn't remove the old headliner material the first time around) and the suede I used already had backing attached to it. Second time.. I pulled all the old material off and went with a the same suede but without backing so it stayed the same thickness as the old headliner and with Florida heat not once has the 90 strength adhesive gave me any problems
