Engine degreaser
Or just pull the fuel rails and remove the couple bolts holding the SC on the lol and paint it.
There's your choices :)
So what's under the SC. Is there a gasket that would need to get replaced if I took it off? Or I can just unbolt it n no problems? Ll it's in my plans to do so I guess I should ask that. cuz I have the metalcast paint now that I'd do it with. What you think, red blower with gunmetal rails or vise versa? I kinda wanna do red

Red looks retarded. Do it the same gunmetal you've be using and red rails..
Yes that's a gen III
Yea there's a gasket underneath the SC it's like $8 at ZZP or get one as advance/rockauto etc just make sites its not a Garlock one
Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged All This Work & Still Fishbowl Status
Liken the theme with the gunmetal.
But really toss the cover in the trash.
gunmetal S/C with polished fuel rails is my vote
Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged All This Work & Still Fishbowl Status
Alright I'm gonna read up a little bit on it n check it out. Ill see how much gaskets are n maybe try n do it tomorrow. My only issue with using my gunmetal paint is that it's just the gm duplicolor stuff, it's not high heat resistant n I feel that would be an issue or am I wrong? If it is, ill have to try n find some high heat paint that'll match close.

hmm just leave em polished instead of red..I can snap pics of it n check it out before I painted them red if I did n we will see! Thank you
Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged All This Work & Still Fishbowl Status
I didn't paint my fuel rails in case they started to chip or fuel gets on them good bye paint. So keep that in mind!
Edit: F U spellcheck for changing my words
Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged All This Work & Still Fishbowl Status
Lol yeah i will..ill just see what i like then. I seen something's about o rings or other gaskets. Will I need them or no? What'd you replace when you take yours off to paint it?
Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged All This Work & Still Fishbowl Status
Well I did do the whole heads/cam scenario so a lot of shut was replaced but for use just replace the supercharger gasket and optional..injector orings. They're cheap anyways.
Beat way of doing it is let the car run and then pull the fuse for the fuel pump so there isn't much if any fuel in your fuel rails when you go to take them off creates less mess.
Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged All This Work & Still Fishbowl Status

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged All This Work & Still Fishbowl Status
So I got these in the mail today, and neither of them work. Lol I'm so pissed n annoyed right now. I'd be happy if one worked. I don't see how there'd be some specialy way to hook them up, but if you have any info or suggestions to help out I'd appreciate it. Besides getting different ones because that's obviously what I'm going to have to do. I just don't know if I'm missing something or these are just that big of pieces of sh!t.

I read somewhere that you might have to try to plug the factory plug in upside down (actually what i had to do one side on mine) try that.

Okay, I'll try that. I have seen some where you need to switch the pins so that makes sense, I hope that does it lol. Thanks man
Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged All This Work & Still Fishbowl Status
