Retros going decent so far. It's not as hard as people make it seem to be..at least so far. Still need to wait til nighttime to line em up n mount them. But breaking them apart were so easy just following drunkies thread. His cook time was perfect n made it real easy. Had to go return harbor freights special dremel, damn thing button to tighten the bits broke on me so quick. So went n bought one from Home Depot. Here are some pics!

i wanna try n find a way to keep the housing silver n just paint the shroud. We will see if I can, unless it'll just be black!

keep the whole thing shiny chrome....it will match(sorta) the silver/grey theme you have going it will just look factory.
how much did you have to cut on the shrouds to get them to flush-up?
you using the epoxy method to fasten them?. I really was hoping someone would come up with a simple washer method(there is a thread from the past/but not to detailed)

I haven't mounted them yet or anything. I was going to use jb weld stick n the rubber caps. So idk if I can use the alumnium tape to help covwr stuff up or paint the jb weld silver. But I believe thats why you should paint them black to hide it all. We will see

Nothing hard about it until you have to get the cutoff straight that's the difficult part getting both where you want em. The opening of the headlights are only hard if you use the oem lights.

Okay I gotcha. Now I just shove jb weld in to help hold it in place in the front of the headlight n then when I got it where I want it I fill the back in as well

You leaving them chrome ? It would work for your theme. Just a hint don't touch the reflector with your fingers.

I just use a tad bit of the jb stick..just enough to hold the projector to the reflector and then line it up and after of your happy go back and apply more from the front and or back. That way if you do have to fix the rotation it won't be as hard.

Try some distilled water first. Brake cleaner might be a bit to aggressive. The reflector itself scratches very easily and shows finger prints without much effort.

Should be able to..test a small spot first and use a brand new microfiber rag not something that you've used before.

Lol these are sweet a$$ stripes. Painted my front n rear lowers with the gunmetal. Looks decent. Painted my shrouds red, n put on one of the stripes!

Doesn't look too different but its more metallic. Gotta see it in person. Didn't take many photos yet. Ill wash it n take a few better in the sun so y'all can see it better.

    sweet stripes haha
